3rd PERSON POV
When Ariadne walked through the doors of the animal clinic she had only noticed Deaton was here. " Is Scott late or something?" She asked walking through, noticing that the teen wolf wasn't here. " No, he's not and this is a good time to talk" he said as he finished putting away packets of medical supplies. She nodded her head agreeing with what Deaton said, deciding it was time to talk. " Yea I agree, so a while back when Scott was bit, Derek came at Scott and I basically threatening him, talking about how if Scott shifted on the field, then the hunters would come for us all" Ariadne told him, Oceanus and Ariadne knew about Deaton being an emissary to the Hale pack. Right when Deaton was going to respond the door opened and Scott came running through. " Sorry I'm late" Scott said breathlessly, smiling slightly as he saw Ariadne. He liked how she looked right now so natural. She had her hair in a bun leaving a few strands to help frame her face, also instead of a skirt or a dress, she had on ripped jeans and a white shirt on. Instead of heels she had on regular shoes. Even though he liked how she looked no matter what, he couldn't help but like her like this. She just looked like she was in her natural state, she always said it was work clothes but Scott could tell she liked how it was more natural for her. " It's ok you only a few minutes late" Deaton said giving Ariadne a look letting them know that they'll have to talk later. " I just don't want you to think I'm slacking off" Scott said as he dropped his bag and walked over to right of Ariadne helping her finish some of the restocking of the gauze and other things so Deaton could have easier access to something that he needed. After a few minutes of small jokes and laughs, the sheriff walks through. " Hey, Deaton, Scott, Ariadne" he said smiling. The three waved back, and as Ariadne took one look at Scott she could see the fear in his eyes. She grabbed his hand as a show of support, she didn't know if it would help, but she though she could try. Deaton didn't seem the least bit worried as he seen the dog. " I see somebody is ready to get their stitches out!" He happily said propping the dog on the table. Scott breathed a sigh of relief, now knowing the sheriff wasn't here for him. " Hey Deaton while your doing that can you take a look at something for me?" the sheriff asked hoping that Deaton would have some sort of insight on what this could mean, so he could solve the case. Deaton nodded his head as his eyebrows furrowed looking at the paper with the dead deer. Ariadne looked over to see the picture. It was a dead deer with a spiral on it's body. She took a sharp intake of breath knowing that this had supernatural written all over. She looked over at Scott and he looked as if he was in a worried daze, his forehead creased in worry, hearing about how Deaton described the incident. After the sheriff left, it was a pretty slow work hour. Deaton went to his office leaving the teenagers alone. Her and Scott got out one of the dogs, so they could check on him. This was Ariadne's favorite thing about her job, she loved dogs. It was like in a way dogs and pets were her escape to reality. But she also hated when they left because she would get attached.
Laying the German shepherd on the table, Ariadne rubbed the dog as it layed down, she smiled happily as she could also see the dog enjoying the belly rubbing. Scott was watching her out of the corner of his eye noticing how happy and at peace she looked. He walked over handing her some gloves so she could help Scott open the dogs mouth, the dog had something weird going on with his teeth. They all had suspected that he ate something he shouldn't have, resulting the dog being here. " Hey what was the deal with you today at lunch?" Ariadne asked breaking the silence, she didn't think it was fair how Scott could go have a life but he tried to basically keep her from having one. " What me telling everybody that you have somewhere to be?" Scott asked, he had hopped she dropped the whole thing. He knew what he did was wrong and maybe even a little weird but he couldn't help it, he felt really bad when he noticed that she was pissed, he always knew when she had that look in her eyes. What also helped is that she threatened to stab Jackson in the face, with a fork. " Yea, I know we're best friends and all but you trying to not let me go out is a little overdoing it" She said getting straight to the point. Scott had to make up an excuse, he didn't quite understand his feelings for her but he knew that he felt more than friendly feelings for the girl. " I just didn't want you to be apart of this mess of a double date" he said thinking that was the best thing he could say. The girl didn't say anything else as she continued to comfort the dog, she knew he was in pain and couldn't help. Once Scott was finished looking he had put the dog back down and Ariadne walked it to the back room. She realized that her shift was over and that she needed to talk to Deaton, but she knew that Scott liked to stay after to help get a little more on his paycheck. Said a bye to Scott and Deaton deciding to walk home instead of calling her brother.
