The Divine Move pt.1

3rd PERSON POV

Lydia, Scott, Isaac, and Oceanus all sat in the sheriffs station. Nobody said anything as the death of their friend and sister was still fresh in their mind. They all decided to split up, seeing as if they were all there it'd cause too much attention.

Flashback

"Oceanus, look at me. Look at me" Argent said in a stern voice. "Oceanus, look at me" he said one last time. Argents heart was breaking, he loved Ariadne like a daughter, what made it worse was that he saved his only daughter and couldn't even thank her.

"You have to remember. You called me first, ok? Say it. You called me first" Argent instructed. "I called Mr. Argent first" he knew how these things went but it was still a fresh subject. "Good. What else? What happened?" He asked.

"There were two of them. They tried to steal our car. They wore masks. They had something sharp and metallic" Oceanus said as he took deep breaths, looking out at the place his sister died. His worst nightmare had came true, and he didn't know how to cope.

" Good. And if you freeze up or get stuck, what do you say?" Argent asked. "It all just happened so fast" Oceanus finally really looked at Argent. "How are you so ok with all this. How'd you do it?" He asked. Argent didn't expect it, but he knew the answer. "It's what we do. And it's what Allison is now learning to do" the pain he was feeling was terrible, he just wanted to hug somebody.

"I didn't get to say goodbye. I wasn't there for her when she asked me to be" Oceanus sobbed into Argents shoulder. Argent wasn't no time in wrapping him in a hug. He knew of his history with his parents. The twins only really ever had each other, and now they didn't.

Cora walked through the loft door with tears in her eyes. "Cora, are you ok?" Derek asked as he finally finished burning out the wolfsbane in the twins. Cora's eyes looked at the twins in sadness. "She's gone" Cora whispered, but they all heard her. And that's when they twins knew.

"Who, Allison?" Derek asked, but Cora shook her head. "Aria, she died, Derek" that was the first time Cora looked at Derek since she got home. "She... um, she wrapped her whip around Allison's leg and pulled her down to save her from getting killed. When she did, she helped up Isaac and turned around. Aria got stabbed in the stomach" seeing her die was one thing, describing it, that was another.

Derek hugged Cora, both needing the comfort. Derek let Ariadne in. She was the first person in a really long time that he trusted and confided in. She was like a sister to him. "Isaac told me to tell you that she said... she kept her promise. I don't know what that means but you probably do" Cora said into his shoulder.

Derek had a slight smile at the fact that she remembered their promise. But it quickly dropped at the realization that she couldn't fight anymore.

Kira and her mom took Stiles and Allison back to their place. They all agreed to not tell Stiles till after this was over. They already lost one friend, they refused to lose another. "Here, it'll calm you" Noshiko offered Stiles while Allison and Kira whispered among themselves. "We can't tell him. Scott made us promise!" Kira whisper shouted. "He's not safe anywhere" they turned their attention back to Kira's parents.

"But, Aria killed one of them. Doesn't that mean something? She killed an oni" Allison said. "Yea, have anyone of you seen her? She wasn't back at the camp" Stiles asked as he looked around at them. "She's had to go something at her house" Kira quickly said, covering up the truth.

"Shadow hunter blades can kill the oni. I never thought it was true, but now we know for certain. As I know, it's the only thing that can certainly kill it. But the problem is, their blades shatter after they do. Lucky for us, we have...3 shadow hunters in town" Noshiko had to stop herself from saying that there was two. "It looks like I'm dying, too" Kira's mom sighed as she sat next to Stiles.

"He made a powerful move by splitting the two of you apart" Kira placed a game piece down on the board. "So what's our move?" Allison asked. "At this point, you guys need a divine move" Kira's dad explained. "What's that?" Stiles asked as he fiddled with his hands. "In the game of Go, it's what we call a truly inspired, or out of the box move. The nogitsune up to this point has had sente, the advantage, until this point. What you need is a divine move in order to turn the game around" Stiles nodded.

"Ok, so is anyone feeling divinely inspired?" He asked sarcastically. "Mom, you said that you trapped it in a glass jar, right?" Kira remembered. "It wasn't the jar that trapped it. It was where I buried it" Noshiko said. "The nemeton" Allison realized. "A place I don't know much about" Kira's mom agreed. "Who does?" Kira asked. "Deaton" Allison and Stiles replied.

Meanwhile, back at Deatons, Aries, Isaac, Scott, and Oceanus all surrounded the metal table that laid a pale and bloody Ariadne. "Anything?" Isaac asked as Deaton, who was checking her pulse. "I'm sorry" Deaton said with a shake of his head. "How long do we have before we really have to let her go?" Scott asked worriedly. The last thing they need is a time limit.

"Within the next hour or so. Ocean and Aries, you guys know as well as I do that this is only just a myth, nobody knows if this is true. You guys are taking a big risk giving her this rune to try and bring her back" Deaton stressed the importance of this. "We know the risk. If she wakes up, we'll deal with the consequences" they all turned their heads to see Isaac rushing out the room. "I got him" Oceanus mumbled and proceeded to follow after him.

"I shouldn't be here. I can't be here!" Isaac exclaimed as he paced back and forth. "She would want you here, Isaac. You know that" Oceanus put a hand on his shoulder, but Isaac's eyes opened and bright golden eyes were shining back at him. "She told me not to let you guys do it. She told me not to let you guys bring her back" Oceanus dropped his hand. "What?" He asked hurt.

"While she was trying to say her last words... she told me that she didn't want to come back" Isaac repeated as he calmed down and his eyes were back to normal. "I want her back, more than anything in the whole world. But, what if she's not the same?" Oceanus didn't know how to respond. Instead, he patted his shoulder and walked back in the room.

Flashback

"Aria! Aria! Where is she? Where's my sister?" Oceanus ran through the fence with Scott behind him. He stopped and looked to see all the sad faces in the area. "No... no. She can't be. She isn't" Cora walked up with tears streaming down her face. "Isaac and Aries are over there. Aries is trying to get Isaac to let her go" that was all Cora needed to say for Scott and him to go running.

"I can't. I can't go over there" Scott said as he came to a sudden holt. Oceanus nodded in understanding as he continued to walk forward. Scott felt so responsible, even though he knew he couldn't have known that was going to happen. "Isaac, let me see her" Isaac looked up with tears in his eyes as he slowly pulled away. There laid a bloody Ariadne with her hand wrapped around Isaac's. Oceanus gasped at the sight of her. Aries immediately wrapped him in a hug.

"I'm sorry" Aries apologized, but Oceanus knew it wasn't his fault. Which caused him to hug him tighter. "We can bring her back!" Scott said as he walked up to them. "What?" The boys asked in unison. "Aria told me about a myth. That a rune could bring somebody back from the dead. Do you know it?" Scott asked the two. "What? Of course we know it, Scott. But it's just that, a myth" Aries said. The last thing either of them wanted was false hope.

"But we have to try!" Scott begged. "We should at least try!" He wanted to know that they could've done everything to try and save her. "It wouldn't hurt to try" Oceanus reluctantly agreed. "Ok, let's do this" Aries was handed the stele as he turned Ariadne's neck to side and drew the rune. "What happens now?" Isaac asked with the occasional sniffle.

"We bring her back to Deatons and wait. Tell Lydia that Stiles can never know about this if this doesn't work" they all agreed. And all they could do is wait. God, did they hate waiting.

All while waiting on Stiles, Allison, Kira, and Lydia to come through with a plan.
