Illuminated pt.2

3rd PERSON POV

Aiden took a seat next to Lydia in biology. "Sweetheart, since this is my first class I've taught in five years, I just want to remind you of one thing. Try not embarrass me" Natalie whispered to Lydia.

" You should've thought about that before wearing those shoes" Lydia whispered back, causing her mom to look down at her shoes. "Love you" Lydia smiled. " Love you too" her mom whispered back and continued to hand out the papers.

" Why's your mom teaching biology?" Aiden asked confused. " Because Mr.Harris used to teach biology. Until his new occupation... human sacrifice" she sassed. " What? I didn't kill" Aiden stared at her as she made a face.

" Lydia, what?" Aiden asked. She sighed and looked up, " the other night, I helped save somebody's life. That felt really good. And I look at you, and all I can think of is how you helped kill Boyd. And how heartbroken Aria was. You're not just a bad boy, Aiden. You're a bad guy. And I don't want to be with the bad guy" Lydia turned back to her book.

He seemed to recognize that Ariadne and being good were brought up in these conversations. "Hey, I think I know where you can have your party" Aiden turned around and whispered to Danny, he smiled. Aiden was determined to try and change their minds. But more importantly, have Ariadne forgive him and his brother for Boyd.

ARIADNE'S POV

Isaac and I found Kira sitting by herself eating a sandwich. We sat down on either side of her. " I don't want to talk about it" she rushed out, and I nodded to show I understood. " You wanna talk about the pre-cal test on Friday? The teacher takes all the equations right out of the book" Isaac held up the math book to distract her from her current situation.

She sighed and closed the book. " Do one of you have your phone? I'm going to show you guys something that nobody else has ever seen. No one except for Barrow" Isaac nodded and scooted to my side so I could see as well. " Take a picture of me. And use the flash" Kira instructed, and Isaac followed.

" Woah. What is it?" Isaac asked as we look at the photo. But I knew what she was, and now it all makes sense. " I don't know. It's started showing up a couple months ago. It only happens with the flash on. And I don't know how, but Barrow knew about it. He used my phone to take pictures of me" she said worriedly. " That's why you asked for your phone back" I realized.

" Kira, would you say this started happening around the time, all those kids and people started dying?" I asked, Isaac shot me a look. "Yea, I guess. But my family really wasn't here for all of that" she explained, but the look on her face gave it away that she was confused.

" Don't worry, Kira. We'll get your phone back" Isaac reassured her. Then the bell rang. " We'll see you in math" I told her and she packed up her stuff and she walked away.

" Do you know now?" Isaac asked as we walked down the hall. " Yes. But, she doesn't know what kind she is. And she was drawn here, but so was her family" I explained. " You mean from the sacrifices?" I nodded, " so you're also saying that her family is supernatural?" He asked me.

" Not necessarily, her family could have knowledge of the supernatural, and know what she is. But I highly doubt it, Kira is a nice girl but she couldn't have convinced her parents to move here. My best bet is her mom felt it also" we turned the corner.

" Are we gonna tell the guys?" He asked and I nodded, " but first we gotta make a stop" I said walking out the school doors. " Where?" He asked and I stopped and turned to face him. "What is with you and the questions? We're going to the station. I'm gonna try to see if I can convince the sheriff to let me in the evidence room" I said holding up the car keys and proceeded to the car.
