Second Chance at First Line pt.2

ARIADNE'S POV

I was rushing down the hallway to find Isaac to see if he wanted to come with Oceanus and I tonight to go into the woods. I was going to turn on the corner when I bumped into someone dropping my bag in the process. " Oh I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking" I said as I picked my bag up and looked at who I bumped into, it was Scott. Even though in a way we weren't on good terms right now, he still gave me a smile that made my heart flutter. " No it's ok I was rushing to, actually trying to find you" he said happy that he found me. " Oh what for?" I said trying to not talk about the elephant between us. " Look I just wanted to say I'm sorry" he said trying to be sincere but I didn't have time for it. It's not like I'm ready to listen to him apologize, it's just that I've really got to find Isaac and catch him up on some things. " Look Scott can we talk about this later?" I asked trying to turn away but he grabbed me hand pulling me back to him. " No look this is really important" he got cut off by his phone going off and that's when Allison came down the stairs smiling both at us. " Hey Ariadne, Scott, who were you texting?" She asked us, well more specifically Scott. Then it's like he had this dopey smile on his face, " oh it's my mom, she's nothing. I'm not nothing! I-I- I'm never to busy for you" Scott stuttered out and Allison smiled even bigger. I still don't know why I'm here during the middle of the weird conversation. " I like the sound of that but I gotta run to French class but I wanted to let you know that we're going out after the game tomorrow, you know me, you, Lydia, Jackson, oh and you and Stiles can come to Ariadne" she smiled as she put me in the conversation. " Oh and your brother to" she added on. " Yeah we'll see but I'll have to check with my dad" I said as I nodded knowing that I probably wasn't going out. And then Allison left, leaving me and Scott by ourselves again. As I turned to leave that's when I realized my hand was still in Scott's. I pulled away and started to walk to English but it didn't matter knowing that I had the same class with Scott, I guess it wasn't all bad knowing Isaac was in there also. I strutted down the hall just try and go up the stairs when a hand pulled me back. " Look Ariadne I know I screwed up but just give me a chance. How about you come with me and Stiles after school today?" He asked trying to get an apology and sounding like he needed help with something. " Oh I can't even as much as I want to, I've gotta take care of something tonight but if it makes you feel any better I'll be at the game tomorrow" I said as I once again got my hand out of Scott's hold and rushed to English, taking a seat in the back of the class by Isaac near the window. The last seat was all the way on the other side of the room where Scott would sit. I looked at him as he walked through immediately making eye contact with me and looked sad as he sat all the way across the other side of the room. To make sure Scott didn't listen in on my conversation with Isaac, I ripped a piece of off and wrote 'do you want to go into the woods tonight? With Oceanus and I? It's like a shadow hunter thing but I'm pretty sure you could get out". I wrote and then folded the paper and tossing it to Isaac. I looked at him as he read it and I could feel Scott's eyes on us. He looked over at me and smiled, nodding his head. I smiled as he passed me the note back and then I told him to meet by his locker which was actually near the entrance of the school, which was perfect because we will be going straight to Oceanus and I's place after school. After that we talked and made little jokes in class. That's what I liked about Isaac even in stressful situations or when I'm bored he always sparked conversation, or cracked jokes.

3rd PERSON POV

Scott was walking through the hallway trying to find Stiles so they could come up with a plan. It was lunch and while everybody was in the cafeteria Scott and Stiles sat on the stairs. " Hey, so have noticed how the twins haven't talked to us a lot today? Like they say a quick hey or give a smile and walk through the hallway. And if you noticed they haven't really left each other's side. The only way they're by themselves is if they had a different class, but with Aria though she's almost always with Isaac if not her brother" he stated, curious as to why that is. Scott felt ashamed especially because he knew if the twins weren't talking to almost anybody and stuck together like glue then they were mad or upset. " I think I know why, last night after the call and the whole thing with Derek, Ariadne and I talked. I basically asked if I ever lost control would Oceanus and her murder me" Scott said sadly. Stiles looked at him like he was crazy, the twins explained what they are and that they're not a threat. " Please tell me your joking? The twins are you serious? Have you not learned to piss them off?" Stiles fired questions at Scott still not getting the reason why he asked. " Clearly not since I managed to piss them off. It's just after the locker room I got scared because Aria had a whip around my throat while Oceanus had a blade that glowed pointed at me" Scott said trying maybe justify his actions. " Scott for the love of god have you forgotten how they told us that they are literally made to protect people? They aren't the bad guys, finding out they're supernatural doesn't change a thing. It never will. So now because they're both pissed at us, which is great by the way, the only people we know that could handle Derek aren't helping. So now we have to go to Derek's burned down place at night to look for a dead body, Oh and to make matters worse, you don't even have control of your abilities!" Stiles whisper shouted knowing that even though it was still lunch and most people were cleared out from the hallways, people were still walking around. " Ok I've tried to apologize to Ariadne, like this morning but she was in a rush to go talk to Isaac" Scott said and you could practically hear the jealousy dripping from his voice. " What do you mean to go talk to Isaac?" Stiles asked not understanding what was so important about Isaac Lahey to the twins. " I don't know but I tried to apologize twice and both times she rushed to go to Isaac" Scott responded not getting why he was more important then an apology from one of her best friends. " Ok well look tomorrow, after the game and stuff go to the window and sit down to have a real conversation with her, be sincere and let her know how much of a idiot you are" Stiles said, as he checked his phone and started putting on his bag as the bell was about to ring. When the bell he left Scott there to think.
