Fireflies pt.1

3rd PERSON POV

The shadow hunters were talking about a plan but stopped once they saw Derek coming towards them with a body. Ariadne had saw the familiar blonde hair and knew that it was Erica.

" Derek, I'm so sorry" she told him, she didn't really know what to say. Erica and her didn't have the best relationship but she was still just a teenage girl, who got put in a bad situation, she didn't deserve to die.

Derek didn't say anything but carried the body towards Scott and Allison. " Derek, we can handle this if you want time to grieve" Ariadne told him, but he shook his head. " No, my sister and Boyd are out there, I'll just call the sheriff station and give a tip" he told them and she shook her head.

Aries had taken a look at Allison and saw how distraught she looked. " I'll take her home. Just call me if you need me" he told them and took ahold of Allison's hand and walked her out of the bank. Ariadne had made a mental note to see what was going on with them two.

" So, what do we do now?" Scott had asked Derek, since they had two raging werewolves out in the streets. " The only thing we can do.
Search. We'll start in the woods since that's most likely the place they'll be comfortable with. Since there's four of us, we'll go in pairs. Ocean and I then you two" he pointed at Scott and Ariadne. She flicked out her bracelet and turned it into a staff. " Well we got things to do so let's go!" She exclaimed and walked out of the bank, she figured she use her staff since they had to find a way to trap them, and she wanted to do that without seriously hurting Boyd or Cora.

ARIADNE'S POV

We were walking through the woods and there's an awkward silence. " So how did you tell Allison?" I asked, trying to break the tension. " I told her everything. I told her how her mom saw us, then how she hit me, and how she almost killed me of it wasn't for you and Derek. She asked why I kept it from her" he sighed and stuffed his hands in his pockets. "And what did you tell her?" I was curious to know.

" I told her that I didn't want her to remember her mother as a bad person. I know she isn't to happy about me keeping it from her but I couldn't tell her. I mean imagine somebody coming to tell you one of your parents died, then tell them that one of the people closest to you was the cause of it" he said and I couldn't imagine. It's hard enough to live without my mom, but I don't know what I'd do if I ever lost my dad.

Scott put his hand out in front of me. " I hear something" then he widened his eyes, " it's Boyd! He's going after kids!" He said and I followed him.

We came to this small clearing in the woods and saw Boyd throw a shed and roar at little kids. " Grab them and call Derek" I said as I ran up and grabbed a little jar of fireflies. I rolled them in and watched as he tried to swat them away. " Sorry Boyd" I said and then hit him with my staff, knocking him over. Then I took off running to meet up with Scott.

" You lost them?" I heard Derek ask as I walked up to Scott. I saw the little boy keep looking between me and my staff so I gave him a small smile. " Yeah, we kinda had to" he told Derek as he looked over at me. " Wasn't exactly the plan" Derek reminded us. " I know, which is exactly why we should stick together. He's too strong, too fast, and way too angry for two people to handle" Scott rushed out. " We're at the trails by the entrance of the preserve. Can you meet us here?" Derek sighed out. " Yea we just gotta drop something off first" he said and then looked at the two kids who were clinging to him.

We walked the kids back home and before they walked in the door, the little boy turned back to me. " Are you a superhero?" He asked and the girl looked at me as well. I smiled softly and leaned down to his height. " I'm something like a superhero. But in order to do what we do, you have to keep it a secret" I told him and he smiled. He held up his pinky and he pinky promised to never tell anybody.

" What you did back there was really cool" Scott told me as he swung our hands back and forth a little. " I mean he asked and I answered. If you really think about it I am a superhero" I joked and Scott had a smile on his face. " Yea I guess you are" he said and then we met with Ocean and Derek.

We had tracked their footprints and scents and found ourselves in a small clearing. " Is it them?" Ocean asked while we all were catching our breaths. " We're not the only ones who decided to stick together" Derek told us as he looked down at two different sets of footprints.

" Is that gonna make it easier or harder to catch them?" Scott asked and Derek shrugged his shoulders. " It depends on how we find them. If they decided to stick together than they know that they can rely on each other. Don't think just because they've fully turned that they aren't using the human part of them" I told them, it's like when werewolves use an anchor to keep themselves in control, they rely on that specific thing or person.

" Guys, we saw Boyd almost rip apart two little kids. Are they gonna do that to everything they find?" Scott asked and I nodded. I mean it became pretty clear when they tried to attack us in the vault. " Everyone and anyone" Oceanus told him and walked away following whatever lead they had.

3rd PERSON POV

The group had not only found Cora, but also Isaac. Cora had roared at them, telling them to back off. Clearly they didn't listen and continued to chase after her.

" So where did you come from? I thought that you were resting" Ariadne had pointed out, she knew Isaac wasn't part of any backup plans but she's glad he showed up when he did or that girl would've been dead.

" Stiles called surprisingly. Where's Aries?" He answered then asked, noticing only two out of the three shadow hunters. " He's living his best life with Allison" she told him but turned her attention back to the others.

" This doesn't make any sense, the public pool is on the other side of the woods. We haven't tracked them anywhere near there" the alpha said confused, he knew that they were stronger and faster but not that fast.

" Derek they killed someone" Scott told him, after the conversation he had with Stiles he believed it was them.

" How are they moving so fast?" He questioned and Scott tried to get him to listen but he wouldn't, " they can't be that fast on foot!" He exclaimed, he doesn't believe it.

" They killed someone. Some totally innocent kid is dead. And it's our fault. We need help" Scott pointed out, as much as he didn't want to admit it, he had to. If they were really that fast then everybody, not just people by the woods were in danger.

" We have Isaac now" Oceanus told them, but Scott shook his head. " I mean real help" he told them and Isaac shot him an offended look. " Alright, Isaac is help. If he hadn't gotten there in time that girl would've died" Ariadne said, sticking up for him, Isaac agreed and slung an arm over her shoulder.

" They're too fast for us, for all of us. Too rabid, we need somebody who knows how to hunt werewolves" Scott told them and everybody else disagreed.

They knew how the Argents were when it came to out of control werewolves on a full moon, it wasn't that they didn't trust him, they just didn't want to risk it.

Scott had told them that this was the only way to keep the town safe, and the wolves. They all reluctantly agreed and tracked down Chris Argent.
