3rd PERSON POV

The shadow hunters were excited to have their dads back home. " Not that I'm happy, but, why are you guys back?" Ariadne questioned as she pulled away. " When Morell told us what was going on we decided to help find Deaton" Jonathan explained.

" Look, this little reunion was nice, but I gotta find Lydia" Stiles Interrupted and left.

" Scott" the twins dad walked over towards him to shake his hand, " sir, I'm glad to know you're ok" he said shaking his hand. " Me and Johnathan will stay here, see if we can find something. We'll call if we find anything" their dad said. " You're not leaving again after this, are you?" Oceanus asked turning towards his dad, " no, we'll be here in town. Then we gotta leave" he told them.

The shadow hunters pulled them into one last hug before leaving.

ARIADNE'S POV

We were back at school and while Scott and I were walking in the hallway, I noticed he kept looking at me weird. When I went to ask why he kept staring, his head shot straight up. "What's wrong?" He didn't answer me but just grabbed my hand and led me to the music room.

" Do you know what a metronome is Ariadne, Scott?" Deucalion asked us as we walked in. "It's a tool, used to help maintain a steady rhythm once you set the tempo. Something tell me the tempo of your lives have sped up considerably in the last few hours. If you'd like, I can help slow it down to a more manageable pace" he offered, " how?" Scott questioned.

" By helping you find Deaton" and that's when things got interesting. " Your hearts are pounding, but it's not fear, it's anger. I bet I know what you're thinking. Does he have something to do with Deaton's disappearance? Tell you what, if you can grab my cane from me, I'll tell you where he is. But since there's only one of me, there can only be one of you" he stood right in front of us, holding his cane out. I was gonna do it but Scott pushed me back and lunged for it.

Deucalion moves swiftly, easily dodging him. I swear I don't think he's blind, there's no way he can move like that. Deucalion swung at him but Scott dodged it. Scott then flipped off the piano and backed up as he kept swinging his cane. Deucalion then took the top of the bottom of the cane and it showed a smaller knife. Scott went to move but he stabbed him in the shoulder.

" Impressive, but maybe you should've let Ariadne take a chance. But you both know I'm not the one killing innocent people, praying to ancient gods, or gathering up herbs, whatever the hell druids are supposed to do" he looked down at us, " I am apart of a pack that wants Derek dead though. Kali is coming for him tonight. So there's a difficult choice you two must face, because someone is going to die tonight. Whether it's Derek or Deaton, it's up to you" he was basically giving us an ultimatum.

" Just tell us where he is" I pleaded with him. "I'll give you a very important clue. Let the current guide you" he hinted and left.

" We've gotta get to the others" I helped him up and met them in the chemistry room.

" What? Why Danny?" We heard the last of their conversation, " because last night he wasn't a sacrifice, but a target" I said walking through the door, catching every bodies attention.

" Isn't Danny still in the hospital?" Cora asked as we all walked out the class, " Yea, you guys go, we'll meet you there" Scott said. " Why?" Aries asked and Scott showed him the text from Allison. " Ok we all can't just go to two different places. Stiles, Cora, Ocean, you guys go see Danny. The rest of you go to Deaton's to try and help our dads" I said splitting us into groups.
