3rd PERSON POV

Silence was all that there was in the elevator. Allison and Oceanus on each side of the sheriff. " You know, I don't know how you guys do it. You're all so strong" he shook his head in disbelief. " You're fearless" he whispered.

" Hell, you even manage to keep your grades up" but the teens shook their heads. " I am failing Econ" Allison admitted. " I'm failing science" Oceanus also admitted. Noah sighed, "is that coaches class? And isn't that Natalie's class?" He asked them, they nodded their heads. " Well I'll talk to them" they nodded, Allison had tears brimming in her eyes.

Sheriff stopped the elevator. " You guys ok?" He noticed the looks on their faces. " I'm not... Fearless. I'm terrified. I'm always terrified. I act like I know what I'm doing, but I don't. I don't know if Aries is dying right now, I don't know anything" Allison weeped as he pulled her into a hug.

" I'm terrified too. I'm scared for me, I'm scared that Ariadne will do something that'll get herself killed. I'm scared I'll get one of us killed. I just act so tough, but it's so hard" Oceanus decided to let everything off his chest. The sheriff pulled him into a hug as well. He sees that these kids put tremendous amounts of pressure on themselves, and he sees that they do it with no second thought.

" You know what's funny?" He asked them, "you guys sound just like a cop" he was happy that they at least got a smile on their faces. "You guys are gonna be ok. Your sister will be ok" the sheriff promised them, and they just nodded.

They had been in the supernatural world a lot longer than he had. And the one thing they never did was promise. Especially the shadow hunters.

Sheriff went to start the elevator again but his phone went off and he explained that he had but in a security system when Stiles started sleep walking. He opened up the app to see void Stiles staring at the camera and waving.

ARIADNE'S POV

Merrick was able to escape the crowd and join the rest of the officers up front. The first one came and that was all it took for them to open fire.

" The gunfire nearly killed me. I don't know how many bullets made their way into my body, but I fought every single one of them. It left my body so weak, my heartbeat so slow it appeared as though I was dead. But even then, I was still better off than Rhys. His screams could be heard throughout Eichen House, echoing through every room, every hallway. He died in agony. The doctor, it seems, had also sold the morphine. Merrick and Hayes were given the task of getting rid of all the bodies, both American and Japanese-American" Noshiko explained as she and Kira were putting the sword back together.

" The doctor was getting transferred, stationing him somewhere else. They were covering it up. The doctor, Merrick, Hayes, and all of the others. They were gonna get away with murder. By chance, I guess, Rhys body was placed next to mine. I wanted the soldiers and the administration to be punished for their crime. But I knew the clock was ticking. I was going to lose my chance. They were going to burn me with the others. I couldn't fight back with my body weak and still healing. I could barely move. I was going to die. With time slipping through my fingers, I knew I was making a terrible decision" her voiced wavered as a stray tear streamed down her face.

I sucked in a breath, holding onto every word. "So I called out to our ancestors. Possession by a fox spirit, a nogitsune. It was to take control of my weak body, imbue it with a power and use it as a weapon. But calling on a trickster spirit is a dangerous thing. They can have a very dark sense of humor. But the nogitsune did come to possess someone, it wasn't me" she looked to her husband.
