Insatiable pt.3

3rd PERSON POV

Ariadne was driving the car that had her brother and Aries in it. Nerves began to set seeing as it was nightfall. "I wanna say this. And I'm only saying this because I'm worried" Ariadne broke the silence in the car. "If something ha-" Ariadne got cut off. "Nothing will happen to you, or the rest of us" Oceanus said in a stern voice. Hearing those words from his sister made Oceanus think back to what he said while he was in the elevator with the sheriff and Allison.

"If something happens..." she repeated. Ariadne needed to say this, she needed to get it off her chest. "If something happens, I want you guys to know that I'm proud of us. I'm proud of how far we've come. I love you guys, you're my family. And tell dad that I love him" Ariadne said, she'd die before anything would happen to any of her friends.

"We will , and if something happens look out for my dad, ok? He'll probably want to go off the deep end, but you guys can't let him. I love you guys" Aries said next. His dad and this pack was all he had left. " I just want to start out this conversation by saying that I don't want to do this because it sounds like a goodbye, and I don't want to say goodbye to you guys" they shot Oceanus a look.

"But, if I die, tell dad that I love him, too. I love you guys, you're my family and I'm proud of us as well. Tell the pack I love them and tell Cora... that I love her" he mumbled but they gasped and smiled. "No sir, now we can't let you die. You have to tell her yourself" Ariadne said as a joke but she did want Oceanus to tell her.

Ariadne held her hand out in the middle, Oceanus laid his hand on top of hers, and lastly, Aries followed. "No matter what" they said in unison. No matter what, they would do anything to protect their friends, even if it meant death.

The cars pulled up as they all circled together. Scott standing in the front about to give a speech. "We've done this before, guys. A couple weeks ago we were standing around like this and we saved Malia, remember? That was a total stranger. This is Lydia" Scott said.

"I'm here to save one of my best friends" Allison said. "I'm here to save one of mine" Scott looked at Stiles. "I just didn't feel like doing any homework" Ariadne laughed slightly at Isaac. "We're here to protect you guys" Aries said. They all gave each other one last look and nod. Scott, Stiles, and Oceanus took off running into the tunnels.

Kira leading the way as she found her mom with the oni. "Kira, turn around and go home. Take your friends with you" Noshiko said to her daughter. "I can't. When I looked at the game I realized who I was actually playing. You" Kira said. Allison drawing her bow while Ariadne turned her bracelet into a whip. Isaac and Cora flicking out their claws and Aries drawing a sword.

"Call them off" Allison said. "You think you can take him alive? You think you could save him?" Noshiko tried to fill them with doubt. "What if we can?" Ariadne asked. "I tried something like that 70 years ago. Your friend is gone" Noshiko responded. "Are you sure? What if Stiles doesn't have to die? Maybe Rheese didn't have to die either" Kira stepped up and challenged her mother.

The oni drew their swords and was waiting on Noshiko's command. "I see I'm no longer the fox now, Kira. You are. But the nogitsune is still my demon to bury" then the oni poofed out. "Call them off and let us deal with the nogitsune. Go home" Aries said. If the oni left, the nogitsune would be easy to deal with.

Noshiko's smirk dropped as she pulled her hand out of her pocket. "Mom?" Kira asked. "What is that?" Isaac asked. They all turned around when they heard the nogitsune. "It means a change of ownership. Now they belong to me" the oni charged at them. Noshiko stepped out of the way, Kira protecting her as best she could.
