"Now then, B team versus C team... Let the first match of round two begin!" The Wizard King announced while the King practically burst a blood vessel beside him. I guess the thought of commoners making it this far infuriated him.
Cherry blossom petals began swirling from around Kirch and quickly spread across the battlefield. The blizzard significantly hindered the other teams vision, but with Asta on their team Kirch's attempt was merely just a waste of mana.
I watched anxiously beside Luck not wanting either team to lose. Of course it's natural for me to want my boyfriend to win, but Asta is pushing for one hell of a goal. The status of Wizard King is no joke which means any accomplishments he can get will look good for him.
My eyes widened seeing his body become half engulfed by that strange dark form he took at the hot springs. This is my first time actually getting a good look at it. One of his eyes grew red with a slit and now he has a fang. The darkness looked like it crept up his body trying to take it over.
"Woah! What the hell is that?!" Luck leaned forward nearly falling off the building. "We definitely have to fight each other soon! I can't believe he learned a new spell!"
Asta began spinning around with his sword in hand making the cherry blossoms dissipate as he flew across the battlefield. Everyone was shocked including his own team. Asta let the darkness fade then turned back to his team. All I could see was Xerx's fury as he yelled at the boy. Asta laughed for a minute before yelling at his teammate for not wanting to work as a team.
While Asta's team argued I spotted Magna's smug look as if he knew this would happen. I mean hell, I knew this would happen. Then the dumbass must have said something stupid since Kirch ran off towards the enemy without consulting them first.
Mimosa began making her way across the battlefield while trying to avoid her brother. Xerx had quickly set up a few traps in a cave nearby then hid while Asta used himself as bait. Once Kirch spotted him he instantly summoned a sakura fan and sent his petals after him. He ran as fast as he could and acted as if he was cornered in the small cave while Xerx hid nearby.
Without hesitating, Kirch set off the small traps with his petal clones and began walking forward while insulting Asta's attempt. The ground gave way beneath him as he fell into a simple pitfall trap. When he went to fly out, Asta was already jumping in with his swords in hand. The sheer force of the impact knocked Kirch out cold.
Mimosa made it to Sol who had managed to hide the crystal inside her golem before Mimosa could launch her attack. She summoned that giant flower like she did in her last match and shot a beam of light through the golem taking out its shoulder. Sol retaliated by throwing the golem's arm at her and using it to cement her in place.
With Kirch knocked out and pinned underneath Asta's giant sword, Xerx placed a trap at the cave entrance so no one could simply rescue him. Although as an extra precaution the bastard crumbled the roof towards the entrance as well practically burying him alive.
Then there came my fire brained knucklehead making his presence known to the enemy. I couldn't help but smile watching him use the spell I helped him discover. I teased him so much about being slow that he managed to gain a spell that gave him flaming shoes. It kinda seems like a mix between Lucks boots and my simple flame boost.
Magna stopped a couple yards away and threw a fireball straight towards the crystal. When Asta swung I swear he hit it dead on, but the crystal cracked behind it. Seeing Magna laughing and pointing at him I knew that was his secret move he kept bragging about. "Holy shit, did you see that Luck!" I nudged him with my shoulder and received a small shock.
