With a deep breath I laid back on the flat part of the roof that Henry had made for me when he rebuilt the base. "You think those four will be ok visiting Gordon's family?"

"I'm sure they'll be fine. The meat head won't let anything happen to them." Magna sat beside me looking towards the clouds. "I'm just glad we weren't dragged along."

"Wait, isn't that the whole reason we hid on the roof?" Luck chuckled.

"True, but I'm still a little worried. I mean Gordon really didn't seem like he wanted to go back." I sat up into a crisscross position. "Not to mention Grey is a shy mess while Gauche is kind of a jerk to anyone that isn't his sister."

"You worry too much." Luck zapped my shoulder making me squeak.

I covered my hand in flames forming my claws and tried to swipe at him. "You little shit.."

He jumped from the roof giggling like a psychopath. He summoned his gauntlet and charged up a ball of lightning. "Here, catch!" He shot several towards us making the two of us dodge the damn things while trying not to fall off the roof.

Magna glared down through his sunglasses while bringing out his fiery bat. "Can you let us have one damn day of peace?!" He tossed a fireball in the air and when his bat made contact a dozen fire balls went flying in Luck's direction.

When Luck jumped back to dodge them He didn't notice one of them disappear then reappear right into his gut creating an explosion. Through the smoke I lunged for him.

The moment he saw my flames his smile grew and he fully equipped himself. He tried to jump to the side but found himself being bound. I figured out my scorpion tail could extend and grab things, therefore giving me an easy way to bind someone if need be. My tail wrapped around him holding his arms flat against his body.

I crossed my arms proudly holding the lightning brat a couple feet in the air. "You're getting too cocky with your new found power Luck."

Jumping from the roof Magna used his flames to soften his fall and ran over to us. "Yeah, you're getting easier to beat." He cockily held his hands on his hips while looking up at Luck.

Luck began to snicker and shoot lightning balls from his hands towards the ground making Magna hop around to dodge them. "Stupid Magna, you're still easy to beat."

"Huh?! I manage to kick your ass sometimes!"

"Not since I got possessed. You're falling behind." Luck teased while trying to wiggle out of my grasp.

I could see the hint of sadness in Magna's eye before he mustered some confidence. "Just you watch, I'll catch up." He muttered before making his way towards the base.

I glared up at Luck to see his prideful smile. "What the hell was that for?" I held Luck closer so we could see eye to eye.

"I'm just telling him what he already knows. We got significantly stronger from the elves." He shrugged. "He has a strong will and will catch up one way or another despite having less mana."

I scoffed, punching him in the back of his head. "You don't have to be such an ass though."

"But it's fun!" He giggled.

Before he could piss me off any more I flicked my tail throwing him into the forest. When walking back into the base I couldn't sense Magna anywhere. I know I saw him walk this way, but I can't even feel his ki.

"Just missed him Strawberry Shortcake." Zora walked up in front of me in a cloak and leaned against the wall beside the door. "Flew off on his weird broom looking pretty determined."
