"The flowers are ordered? Yes please... ship it to their house. How about the foods? Yes... Oh sure! Thank you, Mom", I ended the call.

Signature here and there. It's been almost two months since Soleil and I officially get back together. I've been extra busy. The month of September is near its end. I planned that on the 17th of this month, which is tomorrow, I'll propose to her. 17 is her favorite number kasi and September is her birth month so I think it will be meaningful.

We're going to Dagupan tomorrow for the surprise proposal. I hope it turns out fine and I hope she'll say yes. I've already asked for her hand from her family since she returned in the country. But I did it secretly.

"The hotel rooms... Book another five rooms... Yeah, thanks dude", I ended the call again. I was talking with Gerard, my best friend.

I massaged my temples. I sprang out of my chair when I heard the door bell ring for countless time. Who has the audacity to do such thing?

"Soleil", I welcomed her in a tight hug.

"Parang hindi ka mukhang masaya kanina noong pinagbuksan mo ako ng pinto", I heard some annoyance in her voice.

"I'm sorry, love. I wasn't just expecting you at this hour. 11 pm na kaya", I put my hand on her back.

"Mukha kang stressed", she made me sit on the couch while she went on my back.

"Hmm", I groaned in pleasure.

"Ang swerte mo naman. May girlfriend kang taga-massage", she chuckled.

"Not only taga-massage... I have a girlfriend who's really kind hearted and who always looks at the goodness in people. I have a girlfriend who's lovable enough, strong enough and independent enough to carry herself in the crowd that makes her light reflect to me like a diamond. I have a girlfriend who had risked and sacrificed many things but still she stood unwaveringly from her storms and battles she fought alone. I have that kind of girlfriend and I'm more than lucky to have her", I described how she's like to be my girlfriend.

"Bad ka naman e. Pinapaiyak mo ako", she wrapped her arms around my shoulders and snuggled her head closer to my neck.

"I didn't mean to make you cry. I'm just describing you, love", I patted her head.

"Dahil dyan... dito ako matutulog", she distanced herself and quickly went to the bed.

"You missed my cuddles?" I smirked.

"Hmm... sabihin na nating oo", she shrugged.

I removed my glasses and put it on the bedside table. I went to bed too and cuddled her. She giggled when I whispered 'Mahal kita'. Not long after, we dozed off to sleep.

We arrived past 2 o'clock in the afternoon in Dagupan. It's almost siyesta time so Soleil slept again even she's asleep the whole ride to Dagupan. She's probably tired from the hospitals works and rounds and surgeries. This will be her only time to get a proper sleep.

Their house is a simple bungalow which fits Soleil's simplicity yet it is cozy and you can really call it home. It makes me happy to think that this house witnessed how loving Soleil is. At the same time it saddens me thinking that this house also witnessed how she grew apart from her family and how she would cry silently for how many times because no one's there for her.

"Iho, kailan ba ang kasal?" her Mom asked me.

"Sa December po ang plano namin", I said namin but I'm the only one who's informed na sa December ang kasal. Geez, I hope Soleil won't slap me.

"Akala ko tatandang dalaga 'yang anak ko na 'yan", she sighed.

"Hindi po siya tatandang dalaga hangga't buhay pa po ako", I smiled.
