Chapter 138

"Kill her."

Megatron slowly began toward Amalgamous. Amal took a step back slowly, one after the other as her eyes grew wide.

"Megs...it's me, Amalgamous. Your best friend."

Megatron quickened his pace just slightly, a dark look in his optics that matched the purple. Amal swallowed hard.

"You raised me, Megatron. You taught me everything I know. You know me."

Amal looked into his purple optics.

"I don't wanna fight you."

Megatron stopped for a brief moment and took that time to unsheathe his sword in his right arm and clench his servo.

Amal sighed and realised what she had to do.

"So be it."

And she unsheathed the sword in her right arm before the two launched themselves at each other.

"Beam me up, Rafael."

"You've spent too much time with Amalgamous."

"What can I say? Star Trek is a favorite." Jack said while jogging alongside the well of Allsparks.

"I can get control of the warship from here and make it move, like a remote control car."

"Really how?"

"Well, actually, it's quite simple you just take the—"

"Not now, Rafael." Ratchet butted in and the humans sighed. "You're no fun." Jack said as he turned and saw Unicron walking toward the well.

"Unicron's up to something. What happened to Megatron and Ama—" Jack stopped and couldn't believe what he was seeing for a brief moment.

"Jack?"

"They're fighting."

"Pardon?"

"Unicron...he must have control over Megatron. He's fighting Amal."

There was a brief moment of silence. "We need Optimus now. Where is he?" There was no answer from Optimus in the coms, making Raf sigh. "The warship must be interfering with his comlink if it's cloaking device is still on."

Jack breathed in for a brief moment and held it as he processed his thoughts. "Then I'm going after Unicron. We can't wait around for Optimus."

"That's suicide."

"He's my dad. How hard can it be to try and knock out a literal god when your the son of a god?"

And with that, Jack launched the grappling hook out of his arm and began toward the titan.

Amal was out of breath to say the least. She panted heavily, her blonde hair hanging in front of her face as she stared up at Megatron.

"I gotta say, you've slacked a little since our last sparing session, Megs."

The former warlord didn't say anything and launched himself at Amal. She dodged it and stumbled to her feet, resting her hands on her knees.

"Megs, I know you're in there. Please...it's me, Amalgamous."

Amal rolled away from a slash of his sword, launching herself right after and grazing his side with her own sword. Amal slid on her feet to land properly, watching her best friend slowly turn around just in time to see her collapse to her knees.

"Megatron...this isn't you...think...even when you hated the Autobots...when you never wanted to stay on Earth...when Unicron rose from the fucking dead...when the base collapsed...all you ever wanted was for me to be safe..." Amal held her gaze into the purple optics that her and Megatron shared now, panting heavily as she could feel the energon practically drain from her body.

The former warlord didn't say anything as he stopped in front of the girl and a singular tear ran down her face as her lip trembled looking deep into his optics.

"Megatron...I love you...with all my heart and spark, I love you. You're my best friend, my annoying big brother, my ride or die...please...you can't forget me...not after all we've been through."

The deception leader slowly raised his sword above his head and Amal closed her eyes and knew that of her time were to finally be up, it would be now. The dark energon had drained her regular energon and that alone would kill her if this didn't.

"Amalgamous."

Her eyes snapped open and her head shot back up. Megatron's optics flickered from the deep purple to blue and his frame shook.

"I-I'm...s-s-so s-orr-ry."

The former warlords optics flashed back to pure purple before he swung and swatted the girl across the land, right into the well of all sparks where she began to fall, accepting her fate right then and there, closing her eyes to finally go peacefully.
