Amal didn't know what to say. The past months that had went by, her fellow Decepticons telling her that he was dead, and now here was her best friend, the one who helped raise her from a child, standing here better than ever.
For a second, she didn't move, not knowing how to react. But then it clicked in her head that he was home. Safe and sound with her now, to catch up on everything that's happened. To annoy him to death with her constant ranting about human tv shows and movies. Thinking of this made her want to react.
So she launched herself off Starscream's servo.
Amal landed on the floor clumsier than usual, Starscream also almost falling over with a yelp of surprise after he had attempted to catch her after the sudden movement from her.
"Amal, don't hurt yourself, you fleshling of a Decepticon." Knockout advised with a snap of attitude, looking worried that she had done something to damage her systems. But Amal got up and sprinted over to Megatron, seeming unfazed by the fall she took.
Megatron laughed at the action she made, kneeling down and extending his servo to allow the girl to hug the scrap out of it, which she almost did once she reached him.
Amal breathed in deeply as she fought back tears of happiness while hugging her best friends servo.
"I told you I'd return, Amalgamous." Megatron said, patting her head with one digit. That's when her eyes snapped open, the happiness gone and soon replaced by rage. Which she decided to let out by jerking away and punching Megatron's servo.
Megatron jerked his servo back in surprise, blinking his optics down at her with the most confused look on his face. And soon, the other Decepticons shared the same look.
"You said you'd return in a week!" Amal exclaimed angrily, clenching her fists. Megatron sighed. "Somehow I was hoping you'd forget that." He muttered. Amal glared.
"You're a bitch."
"So I've been told."
"You could've died!"
"I'm back, aren't I?"
Amal kicked his ped hard, making him jerk away again. A shock went through Amal's body as it happened, making her body twitch, but she chose to ignore it. Knockout took note of it.
"Would you stop letting your anger out on me?" Megatron rolled his optics as he spoke to her. "You're the one making me angry, so it's understandable that my anger is let out on you." Amal snapped.
"Amal, sometimes journeys across the universe take longer than expected. I apologize for the time lost here." Megatron said, sighing. Amal huffed, crossing her arms.
"Doesn't make up for it. You owe me." Amal grumbled. Knockout caught the attention of Starscream and Breakdown, motioning for them to leave with her so they could leave the human and warlord to catch up for lost time.
The other Decepticons left, leaving Amal and Megatron in the control room alone. Amal huffed angrily, crossing her arms as she blinked angrily.
"I thought you abandoned me." She said, looking up at the warlord. "That's what everyone told me." The girl said, breathing in shakily.
"Amal..."
"Well what was I supposed to believe? You left in such a short amount of time with little preparation, some of them guessed you would perish. I tried to tell them off but two weeks late turned into a month then into a year—"Amal stopped, blinking back tears.
"What the fuck was I supposed to believe? That you were alive in one of the biggest galaxy's out there, among goons and stars and black holes?" Amal said bitterly. Megatron sighed, kneeling down to the human girl, who refused to look at him.
"Amal. Look at me." The warlord said. Amal glanced up at him, her arms crossed as her eyelids blinked back tears while her body shook ever so slightly. "I shouldn't have left you for so long. I should've come back sooner. But I knew if I had come back and have to leave again, it would be harder...not just for the Decepticons, for you too. And for me." Megatron explained.
Amal sniffed. "I could've handled it." She mumbled. Megatron smiled at her trying to be brave, letting out a light chuckle. "I know you. You're brave in the battle, but it doesn't seem you know your emotions as well as you think." Megatron said, lowering his servo to her.
Amal climbed on, hugging his servo as a few tears rolled down her cheek and she sniffled. "I hate you." She said while smiling. Megatron returned it.
"I can see that." He chuckled before standing up with the young girl in his servo. "Now, lets go address the fellow Decepticons and get things back to normal, shall we?"
