"So, what? You were like, brainwashed by these—"

"Yea, no. It's been my decision to stay with them. They raised me, June. I'm a Decepticon and I always have been." Amal told the angry and confused mother, who leaned against the railing. "You're a human." June said bluntly. "Part human."

"How could you call yourself a Decepticon when it seems they've done nothing to help your kind?"

"How can I call myself even part human when the human race has done nothing to help me?" Amal snapped and June's expression softened. "Who the hell leaves a six month old in a god damn junk yard? Some piece of shit drunk who can't even take care of themselves."

"There could've been good reasonings, just wrong timing."

Amal laughed through the anger, making June frown. "Either way, why the fuck should I care about whoever dumped me? I could care less if they were living their millionaire life or in a fucking ditch somewhere, their life wasted away to nothing." Amal said, crossing her arms from where she sat on Megatron's shoulder pad.

"You could at least try to have compassion."

"Oh believe me, I've tried. But when you've had a part of your attempt at your normal life stripped away, then it's hard to have some to those who took it away from you."

June wasn't happy with the agreement but she trusted Optimus and the others would keep them safe. Either way, she was staying at the base for however long the Decepticons would be there, and no one was stopping her. Jack tried to argue but didn't get a full sentence before she sent a death glare that made him shut up.

"I don't like her." Starscream grumbled. "She's just worried for her son, Screamer. You would be too if your sparkling was with those you fear the most." Amal told the second in Command. Starscream let out a 'hmph' after getting a pained expression on his face before shaking it off.

"You okay Screamer's?" Amal asked, peering down at him with a concerned look. "Yes." Starscream said simply before stalking off down the hallway. Amal looked at Megatron from him shoulder pad. "What's wrong with Starscream?" She asked the warlord, who looked concerned.

"Starscream does not enjoy the topic of sparklings."

"Why?"

"Just after the war started, Starscream was going to be a sire...a father in human terms." Megatron told the curious human. "Really?" Amal exclaimed and the warlord nodded. "But, soon after the news, his sparkmate was offlined in an ambush attack, and since then Starscream became the way he is. He does not like getting close to most."

"Poor Starscream." Amal mumbled and Megatron nodded in agreement. "Who was the mother?" Amal suddenly asked out of curiousness. Megatron looked at her. "A seeker named Redstar...she was clever, quick and a damn good hunter." Megatron told the Cyber-Organic. "She was his sparkmate, and he loved her so much."

"Sparkmate?" Amal questioned, frowning. "Another figure in a cybertronian's life destined to be with them. Believed to be chosen by Primus himself." Megatron explained. "Whoa! Really?" Amal asked in a amazement. Megatron nodded in confirmation.

"But, some question it to be a useless thing, something that stops them from living their lives." The warlord explained. "Why did they think that?" Amal asked him. "Because when you meet your sparkmate, it's an almost immediate attraction to them. It makes you want to never leave them, and you want to remain with them for the rest of your life. During the war, those who lost their sparkmate almost went insane because of it." Megatron sighed.

"And sometimes, you don't meet them. Sometimes they die and you never got to meet them. And sometimes they are hidden in plain sight." He grumbled, his optics flicking toward the center of the room for a second before back at Amal. "It's a touchy subject for most since Cybertron fell."

Amal looked at him for a second before opening her mouth. "Did you ever—" Amal was cut off by the computer beeping loudly, startling everyone around it. Ratchet looked at it. "Another Dark Energon surge. Bigger this time, but no life signals to come with it." He told them.

"Then we shall go investigate it, for now without human allies." Optimus said firmly while looking at Amal. Amal grumbled. "Fine! But you owe me!" She told him, and he nodded in agreement. "Perhaps."

Optimus turned to the others. "Arcee, Bulkhead And Megatron, we shall go investigate the sudden surge, and possibly bring back some samples for Ratchet to examine." He told them. "How come he gets to go?" Amal mumbled bitterly as Megatron took her off his shoulder and set her near the human area.

"Because I can be mature."

Amal snickered. "Hilarious joke. Good one, man." She said to him as he rolled his optics. Soundwave appeared next to him, and Amal knew she was giving her a look. "Try not to cause any trouble." Megatron told her as the groundbridge opened up.

"Aye Keptain Kirk!" Amal mimicked Chekhov's voice and saluted proudly. Megatron rolled his optics once again as he turned and followed the Autobots through the bridge, dropping her salute as it closed. Her smile faded as she suddenly got her feeling of loneliness back, and the thoughts of fear swirled in the back of her mind.

"Hey! Where'd Jack go?" Amal looked toward Miko, who frowned and looked at Ratchet. "Jack went up to the roof, I believe. You humans do like to watch those...sunsets." Ratchet told her. Miko nodded before plopping on the couch next to Raf to continue their game while June was off somewhere speaking to Agent Fowler.

Amal made her way to the elevator and went up to the roof outside, where when the doors opened she saw the black haired boy sitting at the edge of the cliff, staring off at the sunset.

"That's a pretty interesting sun." Amal said as she approached him. Jack turned and gave a look of playfulness, making her grin widely. "Whatcha up to, Jacky-boy?" Amal asked as she sat down next to him.

"Just thinking."

"About?"

"About how I'm—"

"—gonna ask Miko our?" Amal cut him off and gave a playful smile when he blushed deep red. "I fucking knew it." She whispered. "If you mention it to anyone, no one will find your body." Jack threatened, narrowing his eyes.

"Your secret is safe with me." Amal said, 'zipping' her lips shut. "Good." Jack grumbled. "But I'm actually just thinking how I'm processing this information."

"Why so?" The blonde haired girl asked, wiggling her fingers when she felt a slight shock through her body. "Because—"

And that's when Jack literally took off his arm.

"You're not the only one who's been through a rough time."
