PART TWENTY SIX

Mr Kim Hyunsuk is making tea for drinking because the rain makes him feel cold, so he wants to drink something that can be warm himself. He walks out of the kitchen to the living room.

It's not only he feels cold, but he also can't sleep because he's the only beloved daughter who hasn't come back home yet. He goes to the living room to waiting for her to come back home.

When Mr Kim Hyunsuk was about to sit on the sofa and turn on the television to watch some random program, the door is slammed loudly. He flinches, he dashes to the door when he saw his daughter with one more girl.

He looks at his daughter, her hair wet as well as her clothes quite wet, "Jen!".

He moves his eyes to one more girl, "Lisa".

Lisa smiles and bow at Mr Kim Hyunsuk, "Ahjusii!".

He nods, "Let come in!".

"Appa, mind explaining to me everything?" Jennie questions her father.

"Just tell you to come in, why do I need to explain the reason?" Mr Hyunsuk responds.

"Unnie, calm down!" Lisa comforts Jennie.

Lisa makes Jennie move, "Just come in Unnie, it's not the better way to ask him when you stand there, your neighbour will be heard".

Jennie and Lisa steps into the house, Lisa closes the door and then they walk to the living room.

Mr Hyunsuk leaves to take the towel for the girls.

Mr Hyunsuk comes back, he hands a towel to Lisa, and then Jennie, but Jennie didn't take it from her father, she repeats early question, "Appa, mind to explain everything?".

Mr Hyunsuk furrow, "What's it Jen? What happened to you? Why do you keep asking me like this?".

Lisa just stares at the father and daughter, she wants to say something but she knew this is none of her business, so it's better for her to just keep silent and shut her mouth.

Jennie stands up, and face her father, "Appa, tell me now why you hide it from me, do you think it's not a big deal?".

Mr Hyunsuk is confused, he doesn't understand what his daughter talking about, "Jen! Jen! Jen! you should tell me first what are you asking for, I have no idea to explain about what".

Jennie laughs faintly, "Okay appa, I will tell you then you must explain to me everything, everything that I haven't known yet".

Jennie starts telling her father the reason why she asks him to explain her, from the first until she didn't expect to see what is at the restaurant, "Now, mind to explain to me now?".

Mr Hyunsuk doesn't expect it to happen so fast like this, he thinks he will tell his daughter when it's the time, but God may want him to tell her now then.

Mr Hyunsuk sighs, "Our restaurant has met this economic problem for five months and nearly six months, first I didn't think it would be serious, but month by month it kept falling down and down until I decided to choose my last choice, that I have asked you to married with The Kim's heir".

Mr Hyunsuk feels ashamed that he is being a useless father who is willing to trade his beloved daughter to help his business.

He apologizes to his daughter in a brittle tone, "Jen, please forgive appa, I don't want to do this, but I have no choice, I look like a lost dog, I'm so so sorry".

And Mr Hyunsuk covers his face, and burst into the tears, is this look so pathetic when he is a father and he must be strong to protect and take of his daughter.

But it turns out that he is just a crybaby and weak father, it's the most ashamed thing as being a father for Mr Hyunsuk.

Jennie holds back her tears, she tries to find out what is the reason behind of restaurant's economic problem, "Why Appa?".

Mr Hyungsuk still manages to answer his daughter, "Last February, a friend of mine persuaded me to buy another restaurant that was in the same situation as us, just because I think that if I could buy it, we would be able to expand the restaurant even bigger, so I decided to buy it".

He continues, "The money I have wasn't enough to buy, so I mortgaged our restaurant to the bank to supplement the money, but there are still some missing, so I went to other friends to borrow more money".

He pauses, and then he takes a deep breath, "I thought that once I bought it, so the loan would be able to repay to the bank and friends easily, but everything is just a scam, I was scammed".

He adds, "Although our restaurant was closed for sale, the bank has taken over and sold it to the new owner, and it will start operating next month".

Jennie couldn't believe what she has just heard, she put her hand on her chest, and Lisa who has been listening to the whole story, she covers her mouth in shock, she is the same as Jennie, she couldn't believe what she heard too.

The tears which Jennie tries to hold for many hours, finally it sheds, "Why you don't tell me, the money I earned from each photo shoot, it's quite a lot, we can use it to pay off debts".

Mr Hyunsuk shakes his head, "No Jen, it's not enough to pay back".

Jennie questions quickly, "How much you owed them?".

Mr Hyunsuk replies in a lower tone, "10 million dollars".

Jennie gasps as she heard the amount of money, she almost losses her balance, but Lisa rushes to carries Jennie on time.
