PART SEVENTY

Eyes open slowly, white ceiling, luxury lamp, these are what Jannette spotted after recover from unconscious. Besides, she can feel her body is lying down on something soft. At the concurrence of conscious completely, Jannette swiftly sits up and scan surrounding. In her opinion, a place where she is look as though one of a classy house.

Instantly, the sound of footsteps overhear to Jannette's ears telling that those footsteps are coming toward where she is in. She gets up and is about to see whose the owner of footsteps, but they reached up in front of her already, two tall guys, and a man with medium height in 50s age. Her steps are stuck due to unexpected people who she didn't wish to see, "Namjoon oppa, and you two...". Jannette pauses since she tries to remember other two people, but next instead of remembering, Jannette gives them a stern look, "So you all kidnapped me". Namjoon narrates, "We didn't kidnapped you, but I'm the one who bring you here, Jin hyung just drove a car, and Mr. Sihyuk know nothing". Jannette abruptly responds with a question, "Why kidnapped me, what do you want, and where am I". This time, Jin speaks up, "As Namjoon said it's not kidnapping, we just bring you to meet your biological father, anyway you're at my house".

Jannette crosses arm, move her steps forward, "Father huh, I've never had father since I was born, I don't have a jerk father who abandoned family for a cheap mistress". Mr. Sihyuk can't believe what he heard that Jannette accused him, "Jannette daughter, who told you like this". Jin defends Mr. Sihyuk, "Did Mrs. Kyung told you, you're misunderstanding Mr. Sihyuk, your mother just lied to you, she put the blame on him for the fact that she was willing to leave her family and went to live with another man". Jin keeps up, "Mr. Sihyuk has looked for you almost half of world, he always think and worry about you, how's your life going, did you eat enough, did you attend school, there's no time that he doesn't pray to meet you soon". Emotionless face is on Jannette's expression, Jin words didn't touch her heart. Namjoon on the other hand didn't bother to say anything, stand still and watch the scene going on.

As the truth, Jin is not only Mr. Sihyuk's right arm, Mr. Sihyuk has considered him as his son too. Jin is an orphanage child because he lost his parents in car accident at young age, luckily Mr. Sihyuk adopted him as well as supported his education until he became a great chef. After Jin graduated from university, he has come to help Mr. Sihyuk taking care of Yeontan restaurant. Jin is always grateful to Mr. Sihyuk for being compassion to him. Moreover, Mr. Sihyuk met Jin when he had one year old twin daughters. So, that's why Jin clearly knew everything about Mr. Sihyuk's family situation.

No matter how much Jin explains to Jannette, she didn't listen to him, "I don't know whether you just made up things, I don't believe you, if not because of you, my family's life wouldn't have deteriorated so badly". She adds, "You're the one who ruined my life". Then, Jannette points her index finger to Namjoon furiously, "And you Kim Namjoon, why you brought me here out of sudden, I don't want to meet him, you know my life was about to glow up, but you ruined it". Jannette moves finger straightly at Mr. Sihyuk, "You also, how could you let Jennie marry the guy who is my boyfriend, I was supposed to marry him, not her". Jannette takes an anger breath, "Good things were supposed to be mine, but your stupid daughter stole everything from me". Mr. Sihyuk one steps a bit close to Jannette, "Don't blame your younger sister like this Jannette, she didn't know anything".

Mr. Sihyuk finally reveals the truth, "You said was right, you supposed to marry him, in that time I hadn't found you yet, Yeontan restaurant had financial problem, situation was in rush, I have no choice, so I decided to let Jennie replaced your role, I'm really sorry my daughter, Jannette". Jin and Namjoon looks at Mr. Sihyuk in the same time after hearing unexpected truth, Jannette gives Mr. Sihyuk him an anger glare, "And why didn't you delay the marriage until you found me". Jannette shakes head, lower her tone, "But you didn't do that, you turned out letting the marriage happened also, I was right that I don't consider you as my father, plus I won't accept you as my father for my entire life". Jannette walks out, but she stops her step when Mr. Sihyuk turns around and question her, "Jannette, how can I make you accept me as your father".

Jannette turns back with smug face at Mr. Sihyuk. Jin and Namjoon just looks at her waiting for her response to Mr. Sihyuk.

Silent and awkward atmosphere traveling on the way back home, Jennie and Taehyung are returning home. Taehyung just focuses on the road while Jennie is busy admiring the outside view of Seoul along the road at night.

Next, the sound of Jennie's ringing phone disturbed the awkward and silent moment in the car, Jennie flinches, Taehyun steals a very quick glance at her phone. Jennie picks up the call, "Hi Lisa". Lisa responds on the phone, "Yes unnie". Lisa tells Jennie the reason before Jennie could question her, "I called you because I have something to tell you, are you free tomorrow". Jennie returns, "Yes I am". Lisa voices seem like giggling, "So, see you at the same place, Kuma café". Jennie nods agreeably even though Lisa can't see, "See you tomorrow". Jennie puts down her phone after the call was hung up.

Taehyung clears one throat, "Who called you". Jennie peers at Taehyung, "Lisa". Taehyung shortly verifies, "Sure". Jennie questions, "Do you think I lied to you". Taehyung turns a steering wheel to the left, "Not really sure because you used to lie once". Jennie exhales, she shows her phone where history calls to Taehyung, "See, did I lie or not". Taehyung peeks at the phone screen, "You should be aware of that you were already married, therefore it's important to know what should and shouldn't be done on behalf of a wife". Jennie narrows her eyes, holding back smile, "At least, you consider me as your wife". Taehyung didn't dare to glance again, "It's my role as a husband to consider a woman who I married to as my wife". Jennie turns away and press lips together trying not to let out her smile.
