Dragonsoul: SO! Today me shall-eth be teaching you guysh about teh slapping of teh fishes. And I'll begin with, HISTORY!
Everybody else: *groan*
Dragonsoul: Fish-slapping was invented by Sir Stevey Steve McSteverson the Steventh, Steve of the Steves in the kingdom of Stevia (located in what is now modern-day Steveton, Steverland) in steveteen stevety-steve. So, Stevey-Dude, which I will be calling him from now on, had a fish. Its name was Feeshy McSlapslap. He called him that because he was the world's first SLAPPING FISH! :D
Moonpaw: *raises paw* What's a slapping fish? Is it like a species, or...?
Dragonsoul: Technically, a slapping fish can be almost any species of fish, but animal scientists and shtuff are working on breeding a species of fish specifically for slapping. Moving on~ In honor of Feeshy McSlapslap, Stevey-Dude created a method of communication using different ways of fishy-slapping and shtuff. He called it *writes it on the blackboard* TEH METHOD OF COMMUNICATION USING DIFFERENT WAYS OF FISHY-SLAPPING AND SHTUFF. :D
Everybody else: *looks at her bewildered*
Dragonsoul: This was before the word "language" was invented.
Everybody else: Ohh
Dragonsoul: And slapping someone in different ways means different things. For example, a slap in teh face be-eth a symbol of affection and friendship. A slap on the tail can mean rivalry, hatred, or the like.
Roseflight: *slaps Frostwhisker on the tail with a fish* Forkwhisker
Frostwhisker: *slaps Roseflight on the tail with a fish* Spoonsflight
Frozenpaw: *facefish*
Dragonsoul: Thank you for demonstrating the face-fish, Frozenpaw. Teh Face-fish is like a facepalm, except it be-eth FISHIER!! :D So now you know a bit more about fishies and slapping. See ya tomorrow!
