"Ash, please," You whispered through the line. "I need to give you time,"

"Time for what?" Ashton replied harshly.

"Time to breathe," You sighed. "I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't love you as much as I do." You tried to reason with him but it was proving to be difficult.

"You're breaking up with me because you love me?" He spoke sharply. "Thats so stupid, Y/N."

"Please, Ash," Your soft voice contrasted with his harsh tone.

"Y/N, please don't." He pleaded.

"You don't understand Ashton and that's ok, you'll understand someday." You sighed, the only thing that would reassure in this decision would be Ashton and right now he wasn't making it easy.

"I hope you know I love you," He whispered. "So, so, much." His voice shook as he spoke. "And I hope you know how sorry I haven't been able to be with you through some of the worst times." His voice cracked and you felt your heart ache. You knew this was the right decision, you just didn't prepare yourself in saying goodbye to the boy who brought you endless joy and gave you an endless amount of love for the past year of your life.

"I know baby, its not your fault. We just need some time apart thats all." You sighed.

"I'm already half way across the damn world, Y/N, how much further apart do you need me to be?" He quickly resorted back to his anger.

"Ashton you know what I mean." You spoke quietly, the anger in his voice not being something you heard often nor something you wanted to hear.

"Right, of course. You just want to be apart relationship wise." He spoke coldly. "Y/N-"

"Ashton, please stop making this so hard for me to do," You pleaded. "Do you not realise that every little thing I do or hear or see, reminds me of you? I honestly don't know what else to do!" Your voice was finally raised as tears welled in your eyes. "You've got me, Ashton. You've fucking got me, I'm not leaving you because I don't love you. I'm taking a break from you because I don't want you to miss me. I want you to have fun touring, I want you to get drunk and take some god forsaken woman home and just have fun! I don't want to hold you back from everything you've got coming!" You finally released a few tears, quickly wiping them away with the back of your shirt sleeves.

"You're not holding me back, Y/N. You're being irrational about-"

"I've given this weeks upon weeks of thought Ashton. I am not being irrational." You snapped, your voice shaking as it raised. "Look, just-" You paused, taking a deep breath before releasing a long sigh. "-Please, with all these girls you take home, with all the fun you have with your little groupies, within the mist of all yours fans, please, don't fall in love with someone else, someone new." You whispered the last two words, cringing at the thought of him falling in love with someone that wasn't you. "Be patient for me, please. The both of us just need some time apart, that doesn't mean I will ever fall out of love with you." You shook your head as tears were now practically streaming down your cheeks.

"I'll come back for you one day, I promise." Ashton sounded so confident as he spoke, knowing that him falling apart at the time would only make you cry even harder.

"You didn't answer my question, doofus." You chuckled, attempting to wipe away the tears slowly falling.

"I love you so much," Ashton whispered. "Always."
