y/n looked to her left,
then to her right,
and hurried to cross the street before someone caught sight of her sneaking out.
when she successfully arrived to her destination,
which happened to be the house of oliver wood,
she threw tiny pebbles to his window in an attempt to catch his attention.
but oliver,
being much too invested in the book across his bed,
was oblivious to the girl outside his house.
she struggled to climb the tree closest to his room,
but eventually found her way to the roof where she could stealthily walk to his window.
giving it a few light knocks was enough to make oliver flinch.
"y/n?"
he whispered once he opened the window to meet with his girlfriend.
her smile was enough to make him laugh,
but his laughter only grew as he tried to help her inside.
she stumbled in and almost fell to her face had oliver lost his grip on her.
when she steadily got to her feet,
she brushed the dirt of her clothes and smiled up at him.
"you should really find an easier way to sneak in, love,"
oliver laughed,
tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
"mm, well if you would've listened, you would've heard my rocks against your window."
"not very effective, was it?"
"not at all. how's the book?"
y/n directed her attention to the open pages on his bed,
but his eyes remained on her.
"very boring now that you're here."
"so quick with the flattery, wood."
he chuckled and laid his lips to hers,
where the raw emotion could be felt coming from the depths of his core.
he slowly peeled his lips from hers in fear if he didn't stop now,
he would forget to breathe again.
the look on her face made oliver smile.
her deepened lips that seemed to fit his all too well were stretched into a dazzling smile.
"you light my soul on fire in all the best ways possible."
y/n laid a lingering kiss to his cheek to show her love,
seeing as words couldn't nearly sum up the way she felt.
when oliver looked into her eyes to find the years worth of wisdom and the brightness within,
he was secure to know the girl in his arms would be here forever.
and y/n knew this fact too.
"gonna stare all day, or what?"
y/n teased.
"is that such an issue?"
"maybe not. only depends what you're thinking of when you're staring."
"would you like me to tell you?"
"i would, yes."
"i'm thinking about how massive your head is...it seems nearly impossible ones head could be so gigantic yet, here you are!"
y/n let out a loose laugh and pushed oliver away from her,
where their laughter could be found colliding as one in the small bedroom.
"you're the worst."
y/n giggled.
"i'm only kidding, my love."
what would've been a sweet apology ending with a loving kiss was then interrupted by the thundering footsteps of oliver wood's father.
"quick, hide in the closet!"
oliver whispered and ushered his girlfriend into his now closed closet.
he hurried to lay back on the bed with his book in hand,
wiping away the smeared lipgloss on his lips from
y/n.
when his father finally entered,
he scanned the boys room as inconspicuously as possible.
"hey, you're still up?"
oliver asked with no hint of suspicion to his tone.
"yeah...thought i heard you talking to someone."
"oh, no. i was talking to myself."
"about?"
"possible quidditch players for next year."
"of course. you-you don't still talk to that y/n girl, do you?"
oliver sadly shook his head,
"no, dad."
"right, then. i'll leave you to it."
when the door closed again and his fathers footsteps echoed back to where his room remained,
he opened the closet door to find y/n engulfed in a sweatshirt of his.
"oliver wood, not still talking to that y/n girl, are you?"
she teased with a sad smile to her lips.
he helped her to her feet again and quickly embraced her in a tight hug.
"i'm sorry, my love. they just don't understand."
"i know they don't. i was hoping my joke would stray us away from this conversation."
"laughter is the best medicine, after all."
when y/n pulled back to stare at him,
her eyes were filled to the brim with tears.
one blink,
and her cheeks would be stained.
"it is."
"i'm sorry, y/n. i really am."
"don't be. you didn't do anything wrong."
oliver laid his forehead to y/n's,
where she could feel his heavy breathing ghost her lips.
"funny how the world works, hm? the one girl i'm meant to keep away from is the same girl i can't live without."
"sounds cruel if you ask me."
oliver pursed his lips in a flat line,
then wiped away the tear falling from the corner of her eye.
"if it's any consolation, that jumper looks absolutely stunning on you."
a genuine smile danced across her lips and the sight nearly sent oliver breathless.
"such a flirt."
oliver and y/n took their time together to his bed,
where they could lay together as one in the stillness of the night.
no interruptions,
no judgments,
nothing to keep them apart any longer.
y/n traced figure eights on oliver's chest,
then sighed heavily.
"ollie?"
"y/n?"
"do you think our parents will ever get over their feud? so-so we can be together?"
oliver kissed the top of her head with a smile,
"i've always admired the way you want to see the good in every situation."
"i just want to be with you..."
"as i want to be with you, love. and nothings going to keep me away from you."
"nothing?"
"not a thing."
she sat up to face him with a grin,
"what about quidditch? you get an offer from puddlemere united. you get to play keeper, and you get paid a million galleons a game. but, you have to leave me behind. what do you do?"
oliver laughed as quietly as he could,
"i'd stay with you, of course."
y/n scoffed playfully,
"then you're an idiot! a million galleons? i'd be gone! sorry, love. i'll send you a postcard."
oliver brought y/n close with a smile so evident to his lips,
his cheeks were nearly sore.
"oh, love, what would i do without you?"
oliver questioned as she ran her hands through his hair,
"i ask myself the same thing everyday."
"well, luckily, we won't have to find out. i'm yours until the sky runs out of color."
y/n found his lips again and felt the sweet sincerity of his words escape from his tongue.
she found hope and love in the darkness of the night,
and knew this is where she belonged.
no matter the obstacles that begged to keep them apart,
they were meant to be here with one another.oliver wrapped an arm around y/n's waist to pull her as close as possible,
and found comfort in the coolness of her back to the heat of his chest.
he laid a goodnight kiss to her temple,
and allowed his lips to brush past her ear,
"just so you know, i'd pack you into my suitcase before i ever left you behind."
he watched y/n smile a small, sleepy smile while her eyes remained closed.
the bliss warmed his veins while he laid to sleep,
a smile on the both of their faces.
