(No one's POV)
Conrad and Nic walk into Chastain. They knew that this was going to be a difficult day ahead.
"This is just going to get worse", Nic said. "We need to call our dads. My dad is still in treatment and he can't stay. He would probably still want to stay. I would just like to see if he's being safe".
"I will do it too, my father is so stubborn. He would probably still want to work also", Conrad said.
"Your father is as stubborn as you, Conrad", Nic said, teasingly.
"Ha ha. Very funny", Conrad said, as he was past her, and called his dad.
Nic just shook her head and it the same.
