In, "Season 4, Episode 10: Into the Unknown" Cain, after he was in that accident and he hurt his hand helping whoever was in the car. Anyway, his hand was badly injured and then needed help getting his hand back to how it was before.
This is about when Kit sees that Cain is back on the surgical board. This is written in Kit's POV. Hope you enjoy reading this!

(Kit's POV)
I'm looking at the surgical board, just looking to see what surgeries are going on today.
Everything looks normal.
Oh, welll this is not normal. He's back on the surgical board?!
We will see about that! I walk back to my office and decide what I'm going to do.
He's going to need to proof to me that he is ready to go back to inot the OR. And, every surgery he does, I will be observing him every step of the way.
