In, "Season 1, Episode 11: And the Nurses Get Screwed" Nic was being investigated as being involved with Lily's death. While Lane, when she is being interviewed. She was asked about Nic and how this could have happened. She suggested that she could possibly be distracted. When she said was never on screen. So this one shot is about what Lane told them. (No one's POV)
"Could you of why Nurse Nevin would make that kind of mistake", asked one of the interviewers.
Lane thought for a minute, and suddenly smiled, "Well, she has been seeing Dr. Conrad Hawkins, again. He is probably going to be called next, right"?
The panel of interviewers looked at each other, and then said, "Yes, as matter in of fact we are. And how do you know that they were seeing each other? You weren't spying on then were you"?
Lane smile turned into a frown, this was her chance but if she had told them that she knew this by spying on them. Then they would here frowned out her agenda of framing Nic, to make it seem like it was her fault, so she thought if she lied they wouldn't know that there was a lie told by her.
"No, I wasn't spying on them. I just happened to be walking by and saw them, they looked has though they were very friendly with each other. So, if he is on you list of people to interview. He might not be any help, because of his biased opinion of her".
After Lane was dismissed the risk management team board, all looked at each other, and all of them nodded at each other and they all crossed Conrad's name off of their lists the interviews. He would have been biased, because of their relationship.
