The match was a failure.

After being seriously dragged out by Roxie to school on Friday evening, our school lost.

Ashton High 0 - 3 Lenville High.

Not even a single goal was scored.

Our team might have lost a few times but it was never this bad.

Even the match as a whole was stale, our ball possession was low.

The whole team was bad but Daniel was worse.

Being the captain, one of the best players and number one striker of the team, it felt like it was just an imposter putting on his jersey.

I mean, he lost a penalty...

Daniel always scores a penalty kick!

It's not like I was stalking or anything but I'll always notice his eyes going to a certain direction on the stadium and with each glance, his performance always degraded.

Something was wrong.

The match was over as soon as the referee blew the final whistle leading to a wild celebration from Lenville High and absolutely nothing from the other side.

We played home and and still failed. It's horrible.

Our players walked out of the field leaving the other team to their celebration.

"This match is so annoying!" Roxie screeched, throwing her left over popcorn to the field which was still buzzing with joy of victory.

"Yeah, even the passes weren't accurate, nothing was right," Maddie continued loudly and unluckily for me, I was in the middle of all their ranting.

I didn't want to be so close with Maddie but I just had to accept the fact that her and Roxie are friends now.

"I want to use the bathroom, I'll be real quick," I said to the both of them, standing up immediately.

"Be really quick, we need to leave as soon as possible," Roxie informed.

"Yeah. Ofcourse I'll be, I'm just going to pee, it isn't like I'm going to give birth," I retorted.

"Just saying, if you waste so much time, I'll go drag your ass out personally," she threatened.

"Yeah..whatever," I muttered, standing up and heading out of the field, into the school building to the female bathroom.

I remember when I couldn't even think of going in, but now, I think I would be able to move on.

On my way, the hallway was a bit empty and I made my way through it anyways.

I started hearing noises, mostly male voices from afar and I knew that it would be coming from their locker room, where they had to freshen up, change, and in this case, argue and criticise one another for their failure.

But then I heard a certain loud voice, it wasn't just in a form of loud mummurings. It was really clear.

"You can't just say that!" I heard a familiar voice shout.

"Don't raise your voice at me! And yes, I can say and do whatever I want to! You have no right over me!" I heard a very familiar voice shout back.

It was a feminine voice.
