Nessa

I feel my whole body shake, everything shakes, the most around me clears and I crash onto the floor.
The glossy, pristine, green floor.
Some may even call it emerald.
The spell worked, the only problem, I left my chair behind, no bother, I wanted to leave everything behind for a while, until I can screw my head back on.

I peel my eyes off of the floor and use my shaky arms to hold myself slightly off of the ground.
This room is ever so tall, everything is a deep, luxurious, sparkling green at the end of the room there is a large, twinkling, regal throne.
It's currently empty but with no doubt I can say that Glinda definitely sits there.
My arms gives way, just as a door near to the edge of the room opens.
"I'm sure it was nothing." A light, airy voice calls, I'd recognise it anywhere "something probably just fell I'm sure that... Nessarose!"
Glinda gasps loudly, I hear heels clicking towards me.
Glinda drops to her knees.
She wearing a glorious, glimmering, green grown.
With shimmering sparkles coating it.
I prise my head up again.
Glindas hair is neatly curled, upon her head is a magnificent crown, emeralds adorn every part of it.
In one hand she holds a long, silver wand.
Similarly to her crown, there is a large heart shaped emerald on top of it.
"Nessarose are you alright?" Glinda whispers.
I nod my head and it too gives way as I collapse back onto the floor.
"Oh dear, questions later!" Glinda cries, she points her wand out to the side of her.
A bell rings, once again I hear the door open, a stampede of footsteps march in.
"Glinda the good," a chorus of strong voices cheer "how may we help you."
Glinda stands up and walks away from me.
"This young lady is a dear friend of mine, could you sit her down on the emerald throne for me, please be careful with her."
Glinda instructs.
I close my eyes out of exhaustion, as three soldiers pick me up, I cling tightly onto the Halen as they sit me down in Glindas throne.
You get a much better view of the room from here.
The soldiers leave and Glinda rushes over to me.
"It's so good to see you," she whispers shakily "it's ever so lonely here."
I nod my head, Glinda suddenly pauses, she looks at me with suspicion.
"Why are you here?"

And so I tell her, about the dreams, about how terrified I was, about how Elphaba came into my dream.
I tell her about Boc and how he was helping me to take the love potion even though he wanted me to love him more than anything.
And lastly I mention all the other spells I took to try and combat my emotions.
By the end of it I'm in floods of tears.
"Oh Nessarose!" Glinda cries, throwing her arms around me, I nearly fall forward when she finally lets me go, the sheer force of her embrace leaving me feeling quite dizzy.
"Does your sister know that your here?" Glinda ponders.
I look down in shame.
"I'm afraid I left in quite a hurry, I was so desperate to get away and not hurt anyone anymore that I didn't even grab hold of my chair." I say solemnly "hence the sloppy landing."
Glinda shakes her head at me, then abruptly sits down on the floor in front of me.

"Nessa they are going to be worried sick..." Glindas voice fades away, "Nessa, are you alright?" She asks suddenly noticing a change in my expression.
I begin to scan the room frantically, an odd feeling has taken over me, like a strong feeling of sentimentality.
"I feel like I've been here before." I stutter "I told Elphaba I hadn't but it feels so familiar, why does it feel so familiar?"
Glinda shrugs and for some reason she looks around with me, her head following my eyes.
I'm starting to get more aggravated.
"I'm sure I've been here, but I just can't put my finger on it." I mutter under my breath"I don't understand, I'm sure I haven't."

Glinda looks at me sympathetically,
"If it's bothering you, Albert kept a list of all the people who tried to have a meeting with him, we can see if your name is in it."
I nod excitedly, Glinda disappears from the room and returns moments later with a large, dark green, dusty book.
Once again she sits down in front of me and once again I take in the beauty of her dress.
Carefully, she lays her wand down beside her and opens the book.
I watch as a scans through it, reading out names in an airy tone.
"Nessarose Thropp!" Glinda announces excitedly "looks like your father was here too."
It can't be, I have no recollection of this but yet this place seems so eerily familiar.
"Does it say why?"
Glinda shakes her head.
"Though there's something else I can do."

I watch in awe as glinda taps her wand against the floor, the four soldiers return from earlier and give me nasty looks, they listen to Glinda and rush off.
Soon they return and place a shimmering ball of green crystal into Glindas hands.
She beams at each of them and they leave.
"This should be a bit like your visions but we can only hear it, it should allow us to hear the meeting."

Glinda places her hands upon the ball and whispers mine and my fathers names into it, soon the ball begins to glow.
"Who dares come and seek help from the great and powerful wizard of Oz ?" A voice booms from within the ball, Glinda and I both share anxious yet exited glances.
"Your excellence," my fathers shaky voice cries "my name is Frexpar Thropp, I am governor of Munchkin Land, I require your merciful help."
Glindas face changes drastically after hearing my father speak.
"Are you sure you want to listen?" Glinda whispers, I nod my head as the wizards voice returns.
"And whom have you brought with you?"
"This is my daughter Nessarose Thropp, she's at the marvellous age of three and is unable to walk, please your grace, aid her in life, don't let her live a miserable one."
There's a long pause.
"Bring her closer to me." Alberts voice sounds strange, it seems to rumble like thunder and bounce off the walls, I'm sure that we weren't seeing Albert perhaps something more fearful.

"Yes I see now, she seems to have a kind soul..."
"Yes your clarity, she does, please I beseech you, help her." My father had some guts to interrupt the wizard.
"But alas I cannot, she is too unwell she is lucky to not have perished at birth, the magic is too powerful for her fragile frame, the child cannot be spared."
There's an even more uncomfortable pause.
"I'm sorry Nessarose," my father whispers, I stare at the ball with tears in my eyes "the wizard cannot help you, we must leave now."
"You promised!" A weak little voice cries, it's mine.
And yet I still don't remember this interaction.

Glinda taps the orb twice, once to stop it from glowing and a second time to make it disappear.
"Do you remembe?"
I shake my head,
"Why would Albert never mention it to me?"
A tear rolls down Glindas cheek.
"He lied to your father, he didn't have the power to help you, he never did." Glinda sounds cold and angry "I don't suppose this is the sole reason but the wonderful wizard of Oz telling your father that you were too fragile to receive magic could not have helped with your upbringing."
Glinda stops, she looks genuinely upset by this.
"He had the nerve to call himself a wizard, everyday I'm forced to comfort people who come here terrified that your sister is back in Oz, they aren't afraid of you as much, I made sure of it." Glinda hesitates "how could he lie like that?"
