The Family

I wake up and it takes me a second to realise that I'm still in the hospital. I slowly open my eyes and the I see Ace in the corner, he is sat with his elbows on his knees and he's looking at the ground.

"Hey you ok." I say as I sit up. He snaps his head up and he looks like he's seen a ghost. "What's wrong." I say and he sits back in the chair.

"Nothing, go back to sleep." He says and i shake my head. He stands up and puts his hands in his pockets, his jacket is pushed back and his head is messy in his forehead.

"Ace." I say and he looks up at me. He sits down on the end and kisses my hand, "Stop stressing." I huff and he pulls me close to him.

"Kate spoke to me today." I say and he pulls away from me. He looks at me and reads my facial expression.

"What about." He says and i smile looking up at him.

"She just wanted to talk to me about something. I had the feeling she was going to tell me something but Leo walked in and then she left." I say and he smiles.

"I thought she hated me." I say and he shakes his head.

"She was the first to defend you with Erin." Ace says and I feel a warm rush through my body. "She says you grew on her."

"Awh well I'm glad she likes me." I say looking at the end. He looks down at my belly and I place my hand on Aces on my thigh.

I take his hands and pull them so he lays on the bed, he wraps his arms sprung my body and I lay my head on his chest. "I love you mr Marino." I say and he kisses my head.

"I love you too. More than anything." He says and i giggle lifting my head.

"More than." I take his hand and place it on my bump, "her." I say and he shakes his head.

"I don't love you any more or less, I will live you in different ways. Your the love of my life, she will by my daughter. It's different." He says and i laugh.

"Your the cutest person ever." I say and he scuffs.

"I am not cute." He says and i giggle nodding my head. "Eiffel I'm not." He says making me laugh.

"Eiffel." Ace says brushing my forehead. I scrunch my face up as I stir and I hear him chuckle. "Come on we can go home now." He says and I slowly open my eyes.

"Okie give me a minute." I say and he laughs. I sit up in the bed and he gathers all my things, "Ace can you pass me my hoodie" I say and he looks around the room for it.

"You mean my hoodie." he says and hands me it, I send him an unamused smile turning around, he unties the stings at the back and the gown falls to the floor, I slip the hoodie on and pull up my shorts. I shuffle on the bed to the end and step down, I place my hands on my back and a pain shoots through. "You ok."

"Yeah just my back hurts." I say and he sends me a sympathetic smile. run my hands over my bump and Ace watches me. "I think will miss being pregnant you know." is ay and he laugh.

"Yeah well you get to show it off to the whole family next week." he says and I look at him confused. "Harlow's wedding." he says and I nod.

"Thats next week. What if my dress doesn't fit, she's grown a lot since Har picked the dress." I say looking down at my stomach.

"Hey either way you will look gorgeous so don't worry, we can get your dress refitted." he says and I smile nodding my head. "Right you ready." he says and I nod. I have no idea why hes in such a rush to leave but ill not ask questions.

I link my hands with his and we walk out the room, "do you ever not wear suits like serious question." I say and he smiles at the ground.

"Who's hoodie are you wearing." he says and I nod. "when I work out I don't, when im around the house I don't ." he says and I look up at hime.

"yes you do." I say as we walk into the elevator. he shakes his head smiling and presses the ground floor level.

"I love you you know that right." I say and he looks down at me and nods his head with a strange expression across his face. "its just I know your worried about me all the time and I want you to know I love you." I continue and his face softens and he kisses my head.

"I love you too." Ace replies and I lean my head into his arm. I can tell he's looking down at me smiling but I just ignore it and wait for the doors to open.

"im scared." I say breaking the comfortable silence. He moves so I am looking at him and the doors open, I walk off the elevator and he follows behind.

"what of." he says walking through the hospital, we reach the exit and then I take a deep breath. "Eiffel." he says and I spin around and look at him. I just take a deep breath and hold my hand out, he laces his through with mine and I smile.

He leads me to the car and I climb in, I place my hand on my back to support myself and reposition myself in the seat. He hands me my purse then shut the door, I lean my head back and sigh as he gets in the car.

"What you scared of." Ace asks me as he turns his whole body to look at me. I turn and play with my hand , he take them in his and I look up at him,

"everything, I don't think ill be good enough for her. Actually giving birth is scary as fuck, I don't think i can do it." I say with a frown firm on my face. His hand moves to my cheek and he brushes it with his thumb and leans forward to kiss my lips.

"You are the strongest person I have ever met, what you have gone through and your still the brightest and most vibrant person in every room. That shows how powerful you are Eiffel, you are meant to be a mother, you can do it and I will be by your side though the whole thing. I promise you I will never let anything happen to you so stop worrying, your pregnant baby of course your scared but there is nothing to be scared about." he says and every doubt in my mind flies away and I look into his eyes.

"you promise" I say and he chuckles nodding his head.

"pinky promise." he says holding up his little finger. I wrap mine around it and we touch thumbs, he kisses the back of my hand and I kiss the back of his.
