may and enzo met up with stefan, bonnie, matt, alaric and caroline who were at the carnival.
"thanks for coming. i thought we could give the funeral another shot." stefan said as he turned to see may and enzo walking in, enzo with his arm over may's shoulder.
"welcome back." caroline said before giving may a hug.
may and enzo sat with the others and they waited for stefan to speak.
"we're here to... honor tyler." stefan said.
"he was strong. in the face of so much loss." alaric said.
"he fought the darkness inside himself and won. i respected the hell out of him." enzo said.
"he helped so many others like him, he helped us more times than i can count." may said.
"tyler was willing to sacrifice everything for us." bonnie said.
"he cared about all of us. and he was my best friend." matt said.
"he was so much more than a small town kid and he lived so much more than a small town life. i loved him. you know, we all did." caroline spoke up.
"look, we don't know what'll happen next to any of us. but we can't let that haunt us. we can't let that make us forget what we mean to one another. a few years ago, i sat on top of that ferris wheel with elena and i told her how important it was to appreciate these moments. because moments are all we have. so in honor of tyler and elena, we need to keep creating moments like these. we need to remember to live." stefan said before flipping a switch to turn on all the carnival lights.
may looked up at all the lights and smiled. she saw stefan, matt, caroline and bonnie playing on the bumper cars.
she went to play a game with enzo and he ended up winning her a toy penguin.
afterwards, they both had some popcorn and he began throwing some at her, making her laugh and throw some back.
that night, while caroline was showing matt some photos he saw a photo of their nanny and he told them she was the second siren.

may was laying back in her bed with enzo. they were at the salvatore house since may had moved back in there.
they were half clothed after they had morning sex, laying in bed and may turned over to look at him.
"you have no idea how much i've missed you, enzo." may told him, enzo holding her in his arms.
"i'm beginning to get the picture. three months of pushing you back into the darkest corners of my brain. cheerleader fantasies aside, you're much better in person." enzo joked as he tapped her nose.
may chuckled and gave him a quick kiss.
"and you best not forget it." may said before enzo pulled her in for another kiss.
they both stretched, starting to sit up so they could start their day.
"i'm famished. surely there's some food tucked away in this big house." enzo said as the two of them got dressed.
"just admit it, you're jealous that i lived in this big house with two boys." may joked as enzo chuckled.
may heard her phone blowing up making her check her texts.
"they're all from caroline." may said before enzo's phone started ringing.
he showed may his screen and she saw damon was calling him.
"you're sure stefan put him down?" enzo asked her.
"by the looks of this? i'm certain anymore." may replied.
his phone started ringing a second time so enzo answered it.
"damon?" enzo asked but may didn't hear anything.
all the sudden she heard this singing coming from the other end and enzo dropped to the floor.
"oh, my god, enzo!" may shouted before vamping over to him, catching him before he fell.
"enzo. enzo. enzo! enzo." may kept saying but he didn't say anything, he kept grunting out in agony.

may took enzo to the armory to get help and when they walked in, stefan, bonnie and matt were there.
"we need help." may said as they walked in the door.
they sat enzo down on the couch and may stayed by his side.
"he got a call from damon and then i heard this singing and he started feeling this awful pain." may explained.
"it was sybil. she sang. she-she's wormed her way back into my head. god, the pain is moving, and it feels like i'm being cut open." enzo groaned.
"can you see her? can you talk to her?" bonnie asked him.
"no." enzo replied, shaking his head.
"sybil told me she was able to manipulate damon by invading his subconscious. if you can't see or feel her, she must be in yours." stefan explained.
"funny. because consciously and subconsciously, i want to rip her bloody head off!" enzo said.
"you can get inside his head. right? like you guys have done with mine?" bonnie asked stefan.
"i don't know, i've never gone deeper than the surface." stefan said.
"i'll do it." may said before looking at enzo and he nodded his head.
"may, just so you know, you're about to have a tour of some very dark places." enzo told her.
"don't worry about me, love." may said before holding his hand and closing her eyes.
when may entered his subconscious, she could see sybil pulling out enzo's insides while eating bacon with the other hand. may could quickly see an image of sybil at a diner.
may jolted back and she was about to fall but stefan stopped her.
"what did you see?" bonnie asked her.
"i saw a diner. sybil was at a diner." may told them.
"matt, i need you to pull a list of all the diners in oakwood." stefan told him.
"why?" matt asked.
"because sybil's at one of them, and she has no idea that we're onto her." stefan replied.
may sat back down beside enzo, holding his hand. she wasn't going to lose him again to that siren bitch.
