"we'll make it in time." caroline told them.
"no, sybil's right. stefan's gonna protect damon no matter what. and may, you're gonna help enzo no matter what. i can't help you guys, i have no power. she's right." bonnie said making may let out a sigh.
"i'm sorry bonnie. i will fight tooth and nail for enzo." may said.
the girls finally pulled up to the spot where the guys were fighting.
when they got in there, they saw enzo was on the ground and stefan had picked up a shoved with a pointy wooden end.
before he could stab enzo, may vamped over and grabbed stefan's arm.
"i can't let you do that, stefan." may told him.
"may, stay out of this." stefan told her.
"no." may told him.
before they could argue any further, may and stefan got their necks snapped by damon and enzo.
caroline and bonnie were still there but they couldn't stop the boys from fighting. bonnie had to make a choice, she chose enzo.
sybil decided that her only real problem was with may and bonnie. the only way she would change her mind was if enzo turned off his humanity.
before enzo turned off his humanity, he took one last look at may, kissing her forehead.
she finally came to after it was over, not knowing what had happened.
caroline helped may up to her feet and they went outside seeing sybil was on the ground.
alaric had found a tuning fork that would weaken sybil and witches. stefan snapped damon's neck while caroline knocked sybil out.
may looked at enzo and she noticed in his eyes he was different. she grabbed the vervain dart from her pocket, stabbing him in the neck with it.

stefan and may were at the armory looking at sybil who was trapped in a room.
"maybe now we'll get some answers. you sure you can handle enzo?" stefan asked her.
"yeah, i'll be okay." may replied.
"you know, if you need my help with getting him to the cabin..." stefan began but may cut him off.
"i'll be fine, stefan." may repeated.
"okay." stefan replied.
"if it were up to you, you would have picked damon." may said as stefan let out a sigh.
"yes." stefan said honestly.
"and you would have done it knowing that enzo was the one fighting sybil. the one risking his life to help us." may said.
"yes." stefan said again.
"then, let me ask you something. what has damon done? besides give up." may said before she walked away from him.
as she was walking away, she saw caroline walk in. she gave her a smile before going to the car.

may had brought enzo back to the cabin and the first step to getting his humanity back, was the dry him out. make him starve.
may was sitting on the couch, reading a magazine when she got a call from matt. he informed her that tyler had been killed by damon.
may sent her love but she couldn't attend the funeral, she had enzo tied up in the cabin and she wasn't going to leave him now.
may heard enzo waking up and he noticed she had a sad look on her face.
"oh, don't mind me, love. something wrong?" he asked her.
"nope, i'm fine." may lied.
"wow. so damon murders tyler lockwood, in cold blood, and you're fine with it. i didn't mean to eavesdrop on your call, but that seems like a decidedly not fine situation, at least to me. but that grief that you're trying damn hard to hide is giving you this beautiful glow. set me free, may. set us both free. i'll take you on a proper date. anywhere you'd like. paris... you can fix everything that's broken inside of me. you can fix us." enzo said making eye contact with her.
when may looked at him, he could tell by the look in her eyes something else was bothering her.
"you're not just upset about tyler, are you?" enzo asked her.
"damon just went too far, you know? i thought he changed from the guy i first knew. the guy who got my best friend murdered." may said.
"what are you talking about?" enzo asked her.
"i had a best friend, her name was lexi. her and i were visiting stefan for his birthday and damon, wanting to solve the vampire problem in mystic falls, told the sheriff's department to go after lexi and he staked her, right in front of stefan and i." may told him.
"i'm sorry you went through that, i didn't know about that." enzo said as may shrugged.
she grabbed a knife off the coffee table to cut enzo out of his restraints. seeing what he'd do.
"mabel wilkins, you are my saving grace." enzo said putting his hand on her cheek, before he tried vamping out.
he was stopped by the spell that was put on the cabin.
"what's wrong? you didn't seriously think i'd fall for that. my friend i told you about, lexi. she taught me every trick in the book to getting a vampire's humanity back on." may said with a smirk.
"you spelled the cabin? you've been keeping a secret from me. is bonnie a witch again?" enzo asked her.
"no, she's not. but she gave me a magical object to use. this is a dark object on loan from the armory. it's called a flame of imprisonment." may said showing enzo the candle she had on the table.
"well, aren't you fancy?" enzo asked her.
"it traps supernatural beings in the space where it burns. i can come and go because i'm the one who lit it. and i'm the only one who can put it out. and i won't put it out... unless you turn your humanity back on." may told her, crossing her arms over her chest.
"why are you suddenly taking this stand?" enzo asked her.
"because tyler lockwood is dead. and the last thing we need is the loss of another friend, okay? i can't lose you, too." may replied back.
