may got up from bed to go check on bonnie but when she did, bonnie grabbed a stake and stabbed her in the chest.
"no!" enzo said before grabbing may and vamped off.
they stopped by his car and may lifted her shirt, seeing the mark on her.
"she marked me." may said looking up at enzo.
"we have to go, okay? she marked caroline and damon, too. she can't get all of you at once." enzo said before they hopped in the car.
enzo continued driving and they didn't stop until they reached a motel.
the next day, damon, stefan, caroline, may and enzo were all on a joint phone call. caroline and stefan were on the run together while damon was planning on opening the armory.
they knew that the last everlasting was in there and by killing it, it would severe the link that was making bonnie wanna kill all her friends.
"you haven't heard from him?" stefan asked, referring to matt.
matt was supposed to help stop bonnie from killing them.
"nope. which means, to absolutely no ones surprise, donovan failed and now bonnie's huntressing in the wild." damon said back.
"good thing we're on the move." may said as her and enzo packed up his car.
"all right, well, where is she now?" stefan asked.
"coming after one of you. where else? weren't you meant to be on a plane?" enzo asked stefan.
"flights got cancelled because of the storm. where are you?" stefan asked.
"i'm in solution land, baby. there's a preserved body at the armory called the final everlasting. all we have to do is destroy that, bonster is a monster no more." damon said.
"but if you kill the everlasting, bonnie dies. and so do we, for that matter." caroline said.
"i've been told differently." enzo informed her.
"by who? someone that wants you dead?" caroline asked him.
"a descendant of the people who created rayna cruz." enzo said.
"yeah, the people who hate us." caroline pointed out.
"well, whether we believe them or not, it's bonnie's only chance." enzo said.
"our only chance." may added.
"look, best case scenario, we destroy it, and everything goes back to normal. worst case scenario, we all die and stefan and enzo live to tell the tale of our demise to the lovely elena." damon said.
"are you forgetting about the other problem that's in there?" caroline asked him.
"oh, you mean the ambiguously terrifying monster from the vault? may and i are on it. perhaps once it's less ambiguous, it will be less terrifying." enzo said.
"guys, it doesn't matter. bonnie sealed the whole armory. you can't get in." stefan said.
"don't tell me what i can't do." damon said before they heard an explosion on his end.
"what was that?" may asked.
"i can't get in. plan b. stefan, call your ex. obviously, not the one next to you. valerie. she can siphon the seal." damon said.
"that's great, but i have absolutely no idea where to find her." stefan told him.
"there is a third option. and let me just tell you, it is just adorable. the cutest little plan c's you've ever seen." damon said.
