Sigh. I've done that thing where I wake up but then instantly fall asleep for about 4 hours again. I think it's depression. Not too sure though, could be a bunch of factors. Usually my dad would've got me up by now. I wonder what's up? I think he might still be asleep. What would wake him up? The Come Out Ye Black and Tans remix?
Yep - still asleep. I don't wanna disturb him though. He probably had another late night working. I don't know why he does that to himself. Has about 5 cups of coffee, stays up all night working, and then barely sleeps. It's a dangerous game to be playing Graham, dangerous game. I won't scare him into waking up. That's not a nice thing to be doing. I will... gently shake him to see if he wakes up.
E: [slowly opens door] ¿Papá? It's time to get up.
G: [snoring]
E: [comes into room] Paaaaaaaaa. It's almost 10am. [gently shakes]
G: [wakes up] Oh, hello Evin.
E: Did you mean to sleep in?
G: I didn't set an alarm for myself last night. [sits up] I just don't feel well anymore.
E: [climbs onto bed] Well we can't be having this, can we?
G: I don't wanna quit work but... at the same time I do. So much is going on right now that I can't control. The company needs a full overhaul.
E: Why don't you do that then?
G: Evin, you do realise that can be a costly measure and it mightn't even solve the problem, right?
E: [thinking]
G: I need to create a new policy or create a new system that allows for people to anonymously report things like bullying. HR's a mess for things like that.
E: Your company, you can do what you want.
G: I need a coffee. [gets up to turn on machine]
E: [rushes over to stop]
G: Evin what are you doing?
E: You're not having another coffee.
G: [taken back]
E: Stop drinking it the moment anything remotely time consuming comes up.
G: Are you really telling me that?
E: It's clearly become a problem.
G: Says you.
E: Fuck off would you? [leaves]
G: Evin... wait. [follows]
E: [walking towards bedroom]
G: [yelling] Evin - stop this nonsense right now!
E: [screams and slams bedroom door]
G: [stops walking] What the hell has come over me?
E: [crying]
G: Evin, darling. I'm so sorry.
E: Fuck off.
G: Please, I really didn't mean to.
E: [sobbing]
G: [steps away from door] I terrified the poor critter.
E: [wailing in fear]
G: [sighs and approaches door] Evin, I'm so sorry. I don't know what overcame me. I shouldn't be putting all my stress on you, and I shouldn't be telling you things about your own stresses that'll make them worse. Won't you come out? I get things are hard for you, but if you keep letting them build up, you won't get hold of them.
