[TW: Mentions of violence, weight discussion, hospital visits]
Where has the time gone? It can't be Sunday already. Maya's still fast asleep so I don't want to disturb her in any way. She looks so beautiful and peaceful. I don't know what it is about her, but she's just so precious and fragile. That black eye could tell a thousand stories. I don't deserve Maya, especially after everything I've done to her.
E: [gets out of bed]
M: [wakes up, sleepily] Good morning baby.
E: [quietly walks into bathroom]
M: Evin? Are you okay? [gets out of bed] Evin? [knocks door]
E: [dead silent, getting throat sweet from cupboard]
M: Would you at least let me in?
E: [opens door]
M: What's wrong?
E: [looks at]
M: Sore throat?
E: [nods]
M: Why'd you get out of bed like that? [looks at sink] Ah, I see. You just wanted a sweetie. Do you want anything else?
E: [shakes head]
M: [hugs] Has something happened that's made you all quiet this morning?
E: [shakes head]
M: Are you sure?
E: [whimpers and then hugs Maya]
M: [rubs back] It's okay... just let it all out.
E: [sniffs] I feel horrible.
M: What's up?
E: I'm such a horrible person.
M: No, you're not.
E: I am!
M: What on earth is making you say that?!
E: I hurt my own father. I do nothing but hurt my father. I don't know why he still lets me live here.
M: Evin, baby, please. Listen to me. It's never your fault that you do the things you do. It never has been and never will be. Your father loves you and he never wants you to feel bad for what you've done. He knows what's up and understands.
E: But...
M: [silences] Shh. No more talking.
E: But I hit you.
M: Evin, I know you've caused me to break my arm, bruised me multiple times and caused me to have unexplainable cuts, but I still love you no matter what. [kisses]
E: I need to see my sister. [starts to walk away]
M: [grabs] Ev... Ev... Val's out with your grandparents.
E: Where's my dad?
M: He went out too. Only Olivia is here and she's downstairs working. Listen, we need to get you ready for today. [takes hand] What do you want to wear today?
E: Clothes.
M: What kind?
E: [looks in wardrobe]
M: Why not your Revolution Radio shirt?
E: [takes out] And? [lifts black jeans]
M: Perfect. Evvie?
E: Yeah?
M: I need to ask you something. [walks to bed] Come on, sit.
E: [gets on bed]
