For once I'm not waking up last, but I'm not first. My dad, surprisingly, is still sleeping. It's not like him to be in bed all this time. Is he okay? Maybe he's not well. It's quite quiet on his end of the house. Fuck it, I'm going to wake him up and give him some breakfast. Toast and coffee - that'll wake him up. I hope papá's okay, I don't like it when he's not okay. No one likes seeing the people they love unwell. Papá never falls ill unless he catches a nasty bug.

E: [quietly opens door] ¡Hola!

G: [sleeping]

E: [places tray on table and picks up pillow] ¡Papá! [throws]

G: [sighs] What is it Evin?

E: Papá it's 11am.

G: ¿Qué?

E: I brought you breakfast because I thought something was wrong.

G: I've just slept in, but thank you my darling.

E: [hugs]

G: What are you doing today hija?

E: I'm going to go out today.

G: [gets out of bed] Where to?

E: I don't know.

[both walk into hall]

M: [from downstairs] Evin! Do you want syrup?

E: [shouts down] Yeah, sure.

G: Listen, you go down and I'll sort myself out here, okay?

E: Okay papá. [goes downstairs]

M: Here you go. [gives bowl]

E: Thank you. [sits at table]

M: What all is it you want to do today?

E: I don't know.

M: What if we go to the park?

E: Sure...

M: What's wrong Evin?

E: Nothing...

M: Evin!

E: [eating] What?

M: You good? You don't seem very cooperative right now.

E: I just want my breakfast.

M: [in Italian] You need to tell me what's wrong before I have to find out for myself.

E: [in German] What if I don't want to?

M: I don't want you to go and iHeart 2012 yourself.

E: I'll give you one minute to change the topic.

M: [glares] Why don't we go skating?

E: Sure, whatever.

M: Skating, and then maybe thrifting?

E: [scrolls through phone]

M: Hey, Evin...

E: What?

M: Do you even want to go out today?

E: I do.

M: If you want to, we need to work out what we're doing. Okay?

E: We're going skating and thrifting, that's that.

M: [in German] If you don't start talking, you'll be sorry.

E: [in German] And what are you going to do about it?

G: [walking downstairs]

M: I suppose we just need to hope it doesn't go to shit.
