I'm strangely at peace right now. I don't feel horrible for the first time in a long time. Usually I'm struggling to get up at this point, but I feel relaxed and at ease. I guess my meltdown on Friday night took all of the stress out of me. Does that even make sense? Meltdowns are caused, in my case, due to a build up of stress and being overwhelmed, and I usually feel horrible for about 3 days after. Maybe it's because I have Maya here in my arms, maybe it's that reassurance that my "safety gate" is here. Dan and Casey being here too makes me feel that bit more relaxed. My entire support network is basically here.

It's not super sunny outside right now, but later is expected to be quite lovely. We're going to go to the park before heading to Dan's house for rehearsals today. Afterwards, I'm going to head home to get ready for my first day of school tomorrow. Jeez, I can feel the pressure now. Can I just sleep forever instead? I'm not ready, and I'm not okay.

M: [yawns] Good morning darling!

E: [quietly] Morning.

M: What's wrong baby?

E: Nothing.

M: Are you sure?

E: Yeah.

M: [stroking hair] Do you want to get up now or would you like to lie down for another while?

E: I wanna get up.

M: No rush, just take your time.

E: [stimming] I'm really hungry.

M: Is there anything you would like in particular for breakfast?

E: Yeah.

M: What would you like for breakfast?

E: I want pancakes.

M: Why don't we make some pancakes?

E: Yeah.

M: Maybe it's time we woke the other 2?

E: [bends over and flicks Dan's ear]

D: [reacts] You fucking... [swears in German]

M: [bends over and flicks Casey's ear]

C: [yawns] Why?

E: I want pancakes.

C: Do you have any?

E: No.

D: I guess we could make some?

C: Can we make waffles too?

E: About that...

M: What's wrong darling?

E: My dad broke the waffle maker the other day?

M: He's a disaster in the kitchen, isn't here?

E: Yeah.

D: I say we get up and grab our breakfast before heading out.

C: I'd love to have some whipped cream with my pancakes!

M: You ready Ev? [rubs cheek]

E: Yeah.

M: Let's go!

My dad tried to make waffles on Tuesday and somehow made the machine malfunction. He just has no kitchen skills whatsoever. If I remember correctly, he wasn't allowed to move out for university because he was, and still is, a walking fire hazard. The only thing he can make is coffee and that is only because a machine does it for him. I wonder where he's off to this morning? He left about half an hour ago. I guess he's away to see Stefan.
