Today is the day. Today I am set to play my first solo show at the O2 Arena. I'm still stunned that it's happening. An occasion to be noted. A day to be celebrated. We are having another breakfast buffet, this time over in Brian and Anita's to accommodate everyone. The buzz is high and everyone is bouncing off each other. There is one thing though that is taking importance. My mother's announcement regarding yesterday's meeting.
Ma: Now that we are together, I thought it would be a good time to announce what happened in the meeting yesterday. I spoke with the international office and... they agreed to move my job to London!
E: ¡No puedo creerlo mamá! [hugs] When does it start?
Ma: It starts with immediate effect but I expect to fully start in January.
V: I'm so happy for you ma! [hugs]
Ed: We've been looking at houses to live in while we've visited.
Vi: And we've found our new home!
E: You guys are really moving here?
M: We've been considering a move for a while, we've just spread things up.
E: [giggles] I'm just so happy! [hugs]
G: And you know Evin, she'll just be down the road.
E: Wait... how will school and all that work?
Ed: We're moving to schools here though Viv is going to the iGCSE one.
Vi: No Marino though.
E: Good.
M: We'll schedule the wedding for your arrival. [laughs]
E: LOL.
B: There's plenty of things to do here, you'll fit right in.
Ad: We'll have to have a housewarming party!
Ma: I'll make lots of lovely traditional food for it, we're a very blended household.
B: You've got Irish, Portuguese, Italian, Angolan, Argentinian, German and Scottish in one family. Did I forget anything?
E: No not really. I guess you can count English too as we live here? Wagwan and peng and all that... sounds wrong in my accent.
Ed: I saw we have a toast to culture blended families!
[toast]
E: I want to give a toast to everyone for helping me reach this point in my career. Especially to Sam, Kevin and Brizzy for doing this all the while they're approaching an important exam season... And for producing a significant amount of what is about to be the next Glass Onion single!
[cheering]
Sa: Thank you Evin for giving us this opportunity.
K: We really appreciate everything you've done for us in the short amount of time we've known each other.
Br: And we will be using all that you give us.
Ao: Look how far you've come Evin. I remember you were terrified at first to move to London, and now you may as well own the city.
Aa: We're proud of you Evin.
E: Thank you everyone, en serio.

Maya, Casey and I are spending some time together before we go for the final rehearsal and soundcheck. Things have been bubbling up between us three for a while, and we need to talk it out. I don't want any negativity tonight, it all has to be good vibes. I'm worried about a Maya outburst once we're done. This is just a way of managing it before it happens. Hopefully with Casey being here things will be fine.
