[TW: Violence I guess? Doctors office - taking blood, measuring weight. Food & diet discussion]

4:35am and I can barely move due to the pain I'm feeling right now. This can't be happening. The show is tonight and I simply refuse to miss it. There's not much I can really do about it. What do I do?!

G: [gently opens door] Evin?

E: [looks up]

G: Oh Evin, my darling, [comes in and turns on sensory light] what's the matter?

E: [tearing up and shaking] I can't move.

G: [sits on bed] Where hurts?

E: [points to lower stomach]

G: If I give you some painkillers and a hot water bottle, will it help?

E: [nods]

G: [gets up] You stay put and I'll go grab your stuff. Is there anything else you want?

E: Juice.

G: Is apple okay?

E: [nods]

G: Give me about 5 minutes, okay?

E: [sniffs] Yeah.

Dad always come to the rescue - paternal instincts. He's just somehow always able to detect something's wrong in Val or me. There was a time whenever I was younger where I had broke my left arm but for some reason I was terrified to tell an adult in case they shouted at me for being so clumsy. I spent the day hiding in my room under my blanket, hugging my plushie and rocking because I didn't want anyone to know. My dad had noticed I wasn't downstairs playing with my toys or watching TV, so came up to my room to see what was up. I started crying hysterically thinking I was in serious trouble, but he calmly approached me. He got down on the ground beside me, asked me if I was okay and then asked me what the problem was. When I showed him my arm, he got me a bandage, wrapped it up and then spoke to me about what was going to happen at the hospital since I needed the doctor. I wasn't necessarily afraid of the hospital, I was just not sure of it. We ended up taking Val along with us because he wanted someone to sit with me while he spoke to the doctor about what had happened. It's a good thing he could detect it though, because otherwise I think I would've been in a lot of pain for a lot longer.

G: [comes into room] Here you go my darling. [gives painkillers, hot water bottle & drink] Hopefully this will help you a bit. [sits on bed] I'm gonna take the day off work so we can go to the doctor later on this morning, okay?

E: [nods] ¿Papá?

G: Yes my darling?

E: Can I still do the show?

G: I'd say you could, but I don't know if the doctor will let you.

E: What will the doctor do?

G: I think it'll be a general check up. They might have to give you medicine, but I'm sure it won't be that much. Do you know if Maya is staying over tonight?

E: She should be.

G: Make sure you tell her what's happening in the morning so she knows what's up and knows how to help in case something goes wrong.

E: [stimming]

G: Is there anything else you want?

E: Can I have the TV on?

G: What?

E: TV.

G: Evin don't you think putting the TV on at this time of the day is a bad idea?
