Despite Naia's first class with Lupin, Defense Against The Dark Arts easily became her favourite subject. Lupin's practical lessons have been helping her improve, and everyone seemed to agree.Transfiguration, Charms, Care of Magical Creatures, and, Herbology weren't too bad for Naia, but it was Potions, Divination, and History of Magic where she felt like she could eat twelve sugar quills just to keep her going.
She was glad to have shared History of Magic with Hermione, though Ron and Harry claim she was also supposedly in their Double Potions class at the same time. Naia, Harry, and Ron have started to become suspicious, and Naia's curiosity often got the best of her.
October had rolled around and Harry and Naia couldn't have been any more excited. It was the start of the year's Quidditch season. And they were playing against Slytherin first.
Naia's training with Dumbledore has reduced given the amount of work Wood was putting the team through. She didn't mind though. With her increasing power came better skill, and she was a little ahead of schedule in Dumbledore's training timeline. She had successfully mastered temperature manipulation for both water and wind, leaving for some room in practicing how to apply it defensively and offensively. She was now moving on to greater wind-techniques, and was struggling to practice with the bigger winds in the room of requirement. She thought that perhaps if Hagrid would accompany her outdoors in a clearing somewhere in the forest, she would be able to practice better.
She and Harry were currently playing around with Fred and George's beater bats in the locker room when Oliver called in a meeting.
"Alright team," Oliver said, glancing at the six team members before him. "This is our last chance- my last chance - to win the Quidditch cup. I'll be leaving at the end of this year. I'll never get another shot at it. "
Wow as if he couldn't get any more like Moore. Naia's mind flashed back to Moore screaming about his victory party. She shook her head in amusement. Fred watched as a smile grew on Naia's face, and he wondered what she was thinking about.
"Gryffindor haven't won for seven years now. OK, so we've had the worst luck in the world - injuries - then the tournament getting called off last year..." He cleared his throat.
"But now we've got the best - ruddy - team- in- the - school!" He said, his fist into his hand. He was pacing now, and looked like how a captain should when giving a speech like this.
"We've got two unbeatable beaters."
"Stop it, Oliver, you're embarrassing us." Fred and George said pretending to blush. Naia and Harry giggled.
"We've got a Seeker who has never failed to win us a match!" Wood said, glaring at Harry with pride.
"We've got three superb chasers! Right when we thought it was over as Alicia went down, we were given one from oceans away!" Naia blushed and shook her head at his dramatic words.
"And me" Oliver added.
"We think you're very good, too, Oliver." George said.
"Cracking Keeper." Said Fred.
"The point is," He paced again. "The quidditch cup should've been ours the last two years. Ever since Harry joined the team, I've thought the thing was in the bag. But we still haven't got it. This year's the last chance we'll get to finally see our name on the thing..." Oliver said sadly. Naia, Fred, and George looked at him sympathetically.
"Oliver, this year's our year" Said George.
"Thunderbird's good luck, she won the finals for her team last year." Fred added looking at Naia with pride. Naia blushed harder and hit his shoulder, glaring at Fred. What? he mouthed back.
