GRADUATION

This is the day, that all of the students been waiting for. Ito ang araw kung saan maabot na nila ang kanilang inaasam. Ang kanilang pinaghirapan. Lahat ng sakripisyo, dugo at pawis ay mapapalitan ng isang medalya o diploma na siyang pinaghirapan ng lahat.

Si Gwen, isinakripisyo ang lahat, tiwala ng ama, tiwala ng kaibigan, oras sa sarili para lamang maabot ang kanyang pangarap. Makukuha ang parangal sa kanyang pagod at pagsusumikap upang may maipagmalaki sa pamilya.

Si Kaydence, makakamit na rin niya ang parangal para sa kanyang walang sawang pagsusumikap, pag iisip ng bawat hakbang para sa pangarap niya.

Si Britt, na kahit may komplikasyon sa kalusugan ay siya namang binigay ang lakas para mayroong maipagmalaki sa pamilya.

Lahat tayo ay nagsusumikap para maabot ang ating pangarap. Para matulungan ang ating magulang, at may maipagmalaki sa lahat.

"May I call on our Summa Cum Laude, Ms. Gwenevere Serenity Cabelles Elias."

Humiyaw ang mga kaklase niya maging ang mga kaibigan dahil sa sobrang proud nila kay Gwen. Finally, nakamit niya ang parangal para sa kanyang paghihirap.

"She have been a consisting Dean's Lister and Honor Student since 1st year. Faculties, Blockmates, Friends and your Family are so proud of you, Ms. Elias." Their adviser said.

"Thank you po." Ngumiti si Gwen sa kaniya at nagbow. Kinuha ni Gwen ang mikropono sa adviser at nagsalita.

"Hello Everyone! Uhm.. I didn't expect this, really! Like nung 2nd Year, I was cramming at talagang bumababa ako dahil sa sunod sunod na problema. I thank God because He never abondoned me nor forget me. After all I did, He still cares and love me." She smiled looking through the crowd. "Sabi ko nga noon, I will never be on the top because I have a lack confidence for myself. Im insecure in everything. My friends and everyone around me have freedom to choose what they want. Unlike me, who still needs approval from my father. I lost everything you know, my dad, sister, mom, friends.. and the love of my life. But God never left. He stayed and made my life more beautiful and wonderful than before."

"Thank you God, for this uhm.. big and wonderful honor. I never expected this. Uhm, thank you to my family who never doubted me. To my friends na kahit ganito lang ako, they stayed." All of her friends shouted 'We love you.' She cried again. "Thank you to.. him.. because even though he left me, he made me realize that I can do it without the help of others but my own will. He always remind me to pray and thank God. He never let me forget him. Thank you so much. And to my other friend, you know who you are. I hope you forgive me for what I did. Thank you for inspiring me, us. We miss you, I hope you come back to us."

"Thank you to my professor who supported me and gives me motivations as well as my blockmates. Thank you sa lahat. I love you all. I hope maging successful tayong lahat. See you in success, everyone. Have a good day!" She bowed down. All of them clapped their hands in admiration.

Tumakbo papalapit si Gwen sa Mommy and sister niya together with kuya Kaiden, the new member of their family. Sadly, her dad is not around but she hope that one day, he will be there in all her achievements in life. She hugged them all. Then she hugged Kaydence who also graduated as a Cum Laude. They are still not complete for Britt is ignoring them but they will be, one day. Pumunta siya sa iba niyang kaibigan. Kay Gem, Lisa, Jennifer na kasama ang kanyang nobyo na si Cason.

"Congrats!" Sigaw ng apat.

"Salamat. Congrats din sa inyo. Lalo na sayo Jennifer kasi Summa Cum Laude tayo!"

"Salamat. Ikaw naman ang dahilan e pati si mama. Kundi dahil sayo, baka nawalan ako ng gana mag aral."

"That's God's will." Sagot ni Gwen.
