Chapter 1

"This school is huge." Brit commented. Mangha sa lugar na ito.

"Yeah. I like it." I said.

"Let's go to our classes bago pa tayo malate." sabi ni Kay at nagmamadaling nagpunta sa building nila.

I checked the time in my phone it's already 8:50 am. 10 minutes before my class start. It's okay for me. It's a first day of school so no need to rush. Introduction lang naman ang mangyayari ngayon. 

After a minute, I already found my building and my room. Marami-rami na din ang nandon pero wala pang prof. I sat in the middle row. Beside the window. I like this area. I sat there quietly, not looking everywhere. I waited for 5 minutes before our prof came. She introduce herself. 

"Hello everyone. I am Ms. Carla Panganiban. Your adviser and professor in Engr. Math 101." she said. She started to ask us our names and hobbys. Birthdays and ages. After that, she left and the next prof came.

Ganun lang ang nangyari buong morning. Break na ngayon kaya andito ako sa cafeteria. Yes, ako lang. Ang tagal pa kasi nila Britt and Kay e, gutom na ko. I look for a table and I found one so I sat there. I put my Engr. Math 101 book and read.

I need to study hard so that my parents, especially my dad can be proud of me someday. Ever since I started college and chose the course my father dislike for me, his trust for me broken. So Im doing my best to make him see that I will be successful on my own.

Habang nagbabasa ako ay may lumapit sakin na isang lalaki. Malaki ang ngiti niya habang may hawak na lollipop. Umupo siya sa kaharap kong upuan. Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay dahil sa ginawa niya.

"What are you doing?" I asked him. My brows are still furrowed.

"Hi. Im Stephen Lenzon. Med student, major in Biology. 2nd Year. And you?" He introduced himself, not knowing that I don't care.

"Did I asked you?" I said. 

He was stunned by my sudden attitude. "Whoa easy there, lady. Im just being friendly here." He said, there's a ghost smile on his face. I can read what's on his mind right now. 'Oh this girl is feisty.'

Sanay na ako jan, ganyan ang laging sinasabi sakin ng mga lalaking sumubok landiin ako pero lagi kong nababara. I hate guys flirting with me. I don't have time for them. They are just waste of my time.

"I don't need your friendliness." I hissed and rolled my eyes at him.

He's still stunned with me but I ignored him. I will not waste my time to some guy like him. I can already tell that he is a playboy or whatsoever.

May tumikhim kaya napaangat ako ng tingin. Ngumisi ako nang makitang si Kaydence iyon at may bitchy face.

"Pwede ka nang umalis." May ngiti ngunit alam kong pekeng sabi ni Kay. I laughed in my head. I can already tell that she heard and saw him flirting with me. My bestfriends are so protective of me.

Nagulat naman iyong lalaki at tumayo. Umirap si Kaydence at umupo doon. Tumatawa namang umupo sa tabi niya si Britt.

"Tagal niyo naman." reklamo ko.

"Epic talaga yung mukha nung lalaki. Yung mukha na parang napagkaisahan." Tumawa na naman siya.

Napailing iling nalang ako. May saltik din ito sa utak eh.

After our last subject, dumiretso kami sa library. Kasi bukas na magsisimula ang discussions. Mamamatay na naman kami sa pag aaral. Kay was in my front and Britt was beside her. We read quietly there until a boy sat beside me. I looked at him and he looked at me too. Kay and Britt didn't mind us because they are too busy reading their books.
