Doctor's Prescription

Narrator's POV

It's the day after Harry confessed to Louis about his pregnancy. Zayn and Louis were currently at the uni football field, training their asses off. Training days are very important to the team—especially since they've badly lost the previous match that they've competed in.

That is why the team coach has been nagging every single team member about commitment—and how each training day really counts. Unless completely necessary, one should never miss a training day—and he means that.

Not even when you have too much school work to do—because he'd say that time management is always key, and if the workload ends up piling over you, it must be a 'you' problem.

And of course, Zayn and Louis have admitted a couple of times about their hatred towards coach Evans—obviously because of his strict and unreasonable ways.

You'd definitely not consider them the best students in campus, but they were fairly decent enough not to get kicked out.

The two of them would often do assignments near or past the deadlines. It was fine for them—because better late than never, right? But ever since their embarrassing loss, the coach has been stricter than ever.

And yeah, that's really mainly the reason why they dread him.

"Alright! Cool down, lads. Next training would be 5pm again tomorrow! Don't be late." the coach shouts. Everyone in the team heavily pants and sweatily walks over to the benches.

The workouts that they've finished doing were absolute hell. Usually, they wouldn't be able to walk properly the day after—like they've been railed—as Zayn would describe it.

Louis would sometimes jokingly ask him how he knows the feeling of getting railed when he's never gotten railed before, but usually, Zayn would just tell him to fuck off and that he's allowed to know it because it's an obvious thing to know about.

Zayn walks alongside Louis, reaching for his jug of water. Louis unzips his duffel bag and grabs a towel to wipe his face as it's currently soaked in so much sweat that he couldn't see clearly anymore.

Zayn nudges Louis's shoulder as he's about to finish drinking from his water jug. "You want to go drive by to the mall later? I have some stuff to buy for class." He asks. Louis sighs, staring at the ground and looking back at Zayn once again.

"Gotta write my paper. It's been way past the deadline." Louis answers back, his eyes sunken from how drained he is. Zayn pats his back, "s'alright. I'll just bring some takeout for you when I get back if you want."

Louis never usually treats Zayn like this—as their friendship has never been centred around affection, but he smiles at him this time, genuinely appreciating the kind act.

"Thanks, mate." Louis mutters, putting his duffel bag over his shoulder. "I'll get going. See you later." Louis pats Zayn's back and nods at him once. Zayn waves and nods as well as a response.

On the other hand, Harry and Niall were sat on the couch. Niall was currently preparing a powerpoint for his class while Harry was flipping through a book for a reading homework assigned by the professor just this morning.

Both their tasks were a bit lengthy, so they definitely didn't have time to mess around. This is why they've become serious, focused, and determined to do whatever they're doing. The house was quiet, only the clicking of Niall's laptop and the occasional flipping of Harry's book pages were heard.
