Dark 8: Your Choice

Black's POV

Six days have passed and I think, everything is going well. The boys were able to threaten almost all DO members and I must admit, they did a great job.

I help them sometimes while also doing my responsibilities as a new General. And I'm sure we will succeed in the end.

After a few minutes, I parked my car in front of a hotel. I wore a black mask before going outside of my car and gave my car key to a man waiting near the entrance.

I saw Razed waiting near the lobby. When he saw me, he immediately walked towards me and slightly bowed.

"The other Generals are already in the hall, sir."

I only nodded.

We are at the same age but he has a lower rank than mine so he needs to use honorifics. Disrespecting your masters in DO has only one punishment and that's death.

So I no longer wonder why lower ranked members in DO are more organized and respectful than their superiors. Tsk.

Naglakad ako papuntang elevator at kaagad namang sumunod si Razed. I saw guards standing by the hallways while wearing suits. They don't hold any guns but I know they have one underneath their clothes.

We entered the elevator and Razed immediately pressed the 3rd button. Some people were about to ride the elevator but when they saw me, they immediately stepped back and just bowed until the door closed.

See? They are that respectful.

Bumaba kami sa ikatlong palapag at kaagad kong nakita ang madaming mga lalaking nakabantay sa hallway. Their black dragon tattoos can be seen on their palms and I just shrugged since that's the mark of DO members.

I also have one at my back, under my nape.

We stopped in front of a double door and the Dark Guards bowed before opening it. Pumasok kami sa loob at awtomatikong napatingin sa akin ang lahat.

Is being a General really needs to be like this?

Some people just bowed at me. I payed no attention to anyone and just sat at one corner while waiting for the voting to start.

Razed on the other hand sat beside me while checking something on his phone.

I slightly roamed my eyes around and saw the Carters near the front. They are not wearing any masks so I immediately recognized Ethan. He just glanced at me before returning his eyes on his phone.

Few minutes later, I saw the Takishimas and Underwoods entering the hall. They are not wearing any masks either.

Well, that's already expected. Only the Generals wear masks since their identities should be kept hidden from DO members aside from Head, the heir, and their fellow Generals.

I don't even think Razed know who really I am.

We, the Generals, also don't call each other by names. That's not really needed since we don't talk to each other often.

I saw Ethan, Giovanni, and Stephen talking at one corner but I restrained myself from joining them. The Generals knew I am a member of their team but the other members don't. So joining them will just give them an idea of my identity.

I also saw Kenzo at the corner but he's talking to someone. Nag-iwas na lang ako ng tingin at nanatiling tahimik.

Napatingin naman akong muli sa pinto nang pumasok doon ang aking ama. Whispers filled the room and some of them even glanced at me before looking at my father again.
