Dark 19: Dark Kings

Ethan's POV

Here we are again in front of a huge mansion with plenty of guards around. Just like the first time we went here, nervousness is overwhelming us.

Pero hindi pwede. Sa lahat ng nangyari sa mga nakaraang linggo, masasabi kong may nagbago na. Due to the realizations we had, something inside us have changed.

Opening our eyes to the cruelty we often tend to overlook and ignore became a turning point for the four of us. And our will of changing that, of changing the system, will hopefully outweigh the nervousness inside us.

"Let's go."

Humakbang na kami papasok sa entrance at walang sumalubong sa amin 'di tulad noon. Dahil nakapunta na kami dito noon at ilang beses ng nakapunta dito si Black, naging madali na lang ang pagpunta namin sa living room.

But it looks like we aren't the only visitors of Head tonight.

Our fathers, Mr. Marcelo, Kenzo, Ariel Vancar, and Mr. Avelino are here. Pero hindi lang sila kung hindi maging ang ibang UC leaders, such as Mr. Morgiana, Mr. Hallifar, and Mr. Florendo. Even Mr. Montefalco is here.

Just what are they doing here?

"Finally, you are here."

Bahagya lang kaming yumuko nang batiin kami ni Mr. Takishima. I glanced at my father but I cannot distinguish his expression.

Are they still mad about what we did in Germany?

"Good evening po," bati ni Giovanni.

"Good evening," Mr. Zedler said. "Have a seat while they are preparing our dinner."

Nagkatinginan lang kami at umupo sa isang sofa. Mr. Zedler isn't wearing a mask right now so I supposed everyone in here knows he's Head.

If he revealed his identity to them, does that mean he trusts all of them? They are now allies if that's the case then.

But if that's really the truth, then we will need to go through all of them plus the first side of Generals in order to change the organization. What a bunch of powerful people.

"Boys."

Tumingin kami kay Mr. Zedler.

"We called you here for two reasons. First, to apologize."

Apologize?

"We heard what you did," Mr. Morgiana said. "Spying on our daughters? Suspecting them as Queens with groundless evidences?"

Mr. Hallifar chuckled. "How fascinating. I never thought my daughter is one of the Queens."

"You are aware that what you did can be a sign of waging war against us, right?"

Parang nanlamig ang mga kamay ko sa sinabi ni Mr. Morgiana. Waging war? We never intended to do that!

Why are they taking it so seriously?

"T-that's not our intention, sir," I said and gulped. "You gave us a mission to protect the Queens and what we did is a part of—"

"But we never gave you the permission to spy on our daughters. They are heiresses and you know that," Mr. Florendo said. "But we'll let it pass. One apology will do."

"But—"

"No buts, Ethan."

Natahimik ako at napalunok na lang nang seryoso na akong tinignan ni Mr. Zedler. Even Dad is seriously looking at me, like saying that I should just shut my mouth and do what they says.
