Dark 56: Scripted

Black's POV

"Do you think that was a good idea?"

We all looked at Giovanni because of his sudden question.

"Nakita niyo kung paano nag-react si Kiana. Paano kung magkaroon lang ng mas malaking gulo dahil doon? We are talking about a negotiation between the Queens and Yamashito Clan anyway."

"Calm down, Giovanni."

"I am calm, Ethan."

"Whatever," Ethan said and sighed. "You have a point. But that clan is the only one we can rely on since it's connected to Kenzo. We can't ask help from the organization since our target is also a member."

"Pero paano kung iba ang mangyari?"

"Tumahimik ka nga, Kapre. Masyado kang kabado. Mas makakahalata sila dahil sayo eh."

I closed my eyes and stopped listening to them. Nothing would change even if they argue about it anyway.

The Queens' next plan requires a number of underlings. Since we cannot ask their parents nor the organization for some men, Stephen suggested we should ask help from Yamashito Clan, which is where the Ruffians came from. The Queens were shocked and Kiana was even furious about it but they agreed anyway.

But of course it was planned. Before the meeting, we already anticipated what will happen. Ruffians, which is led by Cal, is one of our options. But we couldn't contact them for an unknown reason.

So we chose the Yamashito Clan. Their leader is Kenzo's step-brother so we expect no problem from them. We already updated them and they are now expecting us. All we need is to act once we're already in Japan.

The plan is to use a route to the Yamashito Mansion where small gangs are being gathered. A trouble will start but Yamashito guards will show up and they will lead us to the mansion.

We'll meet Shin there, their leader. He'll refuse our offer to make it less suspicious. Then an infiltration in their system, which is caused by Cairo, will appear. Shin will blame it to us.

Because of that, the Queens are sure to offer help with the condition he'll let us borrow some of his men. Then it will be settled.

But in case the Queens ask him some questions, we prepared some answers that are half-true. In-short, the whole negotiation is a set-up. We have our own scripts.

We intend to deceive the Queens and make fools out of them. I feel a bit guilty about it but we have no choice.

Yamashito Clan knows a lot about Underground City. We can't let them spill everything or the flow of this game will change. Or it already changed?

I'm not really sure.

But it will depend on how the Queens will act during our meeting with Shin. Kithania was furious a while ago just by hearing the word ruffians. It's an unusual reaction from her since whenever she's in rage, she's mostly quiet and keeping it bottled up inside her.

That made me a bit uneasy. Was she acting? Or she just lost control of herself?

I wonder if she has something up her sleeve.

So far, everything is going good. We are now inside the Yamashito mansion and negotiating with Shin. It's not even obvious that their actions are scripted.

But there are also some unexpected revelations that happened a while ago. Like Shin is actually Kaye's ex-boyfriend. But well, I think that's good. Hindi ko lang alam kay Giovanni dahil mukhang hindi na siya nagkukunwari na naiinis siya kay Shin.
