Dark 51: Kaye's Best Friend

Ethan's POV

With Cairo's help, we were able to enter the Montefalco Mansion's premises without any hassle. But of course, he asked whys. Sinagot na lang namin siya na nandito kami para bantayan ang Queens.

He was obviously suspicious but just let it pass. And that's a relief.

Cairo isn't as skilled as his sister but he's smart. It will surely be trouble if we get on his bad side. He's a Montefalco anyway.

I looked at my radarscope and saw two vehicles approaching the mansion. Black and I are inside the forest near the mansion so we cannot really see the road. But we can still detect them by radar.

At nakumpirma nga ang hinala ko nang magsalita si Giovanni.

"The Queens arrived. Papasok na sila."

"Any sign of the suspected traitor?"

Ilang segundo ang lumipas bago nila nasagot ang tanong ni Black.

"Yep. Sinalubong nila Gwen at Gelo sila Alex sa entrance. Mukha ngang nagbibiruan pa sila."

I nodded. "Keep an eye on the entrance and other doors. We can't lose sight of her."

"Roger."

Stephen and Giovanni are near the mansion and observing it. Sila ang mas maaasahan namin sa gano'ng klaseng trabaho.

Bukod sa hindi pakikipaglaban nang pisikalan ang nakasanayan ko, medyo may  katamaran din ang lalaking kasama ko. Baka sumandal lang siya sa isang puno at matulog kaysa magbantay.

"I just felt bad. I think someone is insulting me."

I shrugged. "W-who knows?"

Nagkibit balikat lang siya at tumingin sa ibang direksyon kaya nakahinga ako nang maluwag.

Is this guy some kind of psychic? What a creep.

"Lumabas siya sa garden. She's now talking with her fellow members."

We kept our silence, waiting for the next report. For some reason, I started feeling bad. Not because someone insulted me or something.

Hindi ko alam. Basta biglang sumama ang pakiramdam ko sa gabing 'to.

"The members are now heading somewhere. I think they are going to the main gate."

"Did Gwen leave?"

"Hindi. She's still in the garden at mukhang may tinatawagan sa phone," sagot ni Stephen. "Masama ang pakiramdam ko doon sa mga members na umalis. Parang hindi mapagkakatiwalaan."

"Should we check on them?"

"No. Let's focus on the traitor."

"And besides, we're in the Montefalco's teritorry," I said. "We can expect high security in this place."

"Fine."

Nagkatinginan kami ni Black. Hindi lang sila Stephen ang nakakaramdam ng masama kung hindi pati kami.

Is this instincts? Is something bad really gonna happen tonight?

That's possible despite the security in this place, especially if a traitor is lurking around here. But for some reason, despite feeling bad tonight, I also feel assured.
