Dark 23: Rules

Ethan's POV

Maybe if I'm not a gangster or I don't know anything about this kind of world, I'll be moved by what Ehra said. That her father and the top UC leaders just want to make sure their daughters are alright.

But no.

Knowing them, I'm sure they have a different motive. At isa pa, may sense ba na pinadala nila dito ang walang kalaban-laban na babae para sa apat na babaeng mas malakas pa yata sa mga lalaki?

Black is right. This doesn't make any sense. If they sent a reaper or an assassin or a Dark Guard, baka maintindihan pa namin.

But Ehra? No. They just used her softness towards her father to do something. She's an innocent one and the organization is using her for their own benefits.

At maaaring iyon din ang rason. It's because she's innocent and she's just like a high school bully you can watch in movies. Hindi siya pagdududahan ng heiresses kung gano'n.

Knowing all of this just added the anger we feel towards the organization. But it looks like Ehra doesn't know that her own father is just using her so I think it's better to just not say anything.

Masasaktan lang siya.

"Naiintindihan na namin," sabi ni Giovanni. "Pero ano bang ginagawa mo dito? Alam mo bang pwede kang maparusahan dahil sa pagpasok mo dito?"

"I just want to see her files," Ehra said, probably pertaining to his adopted sister. "Because just like what Stephen said, her name isn't written on the papers along with the heiresses. And ever since, I'm really wondering why Dad never introduced her to us. I never got to know even just her name."

Nagkatinginan kaming apat. We can't say that the organization is hiding her identity for an unknown reason. Ehra will just keep asking questions if we do that.

"Then let's do that," Black said. "We're already here anyway."

"Sigurado ba kayo? That's a school property. Hindi natin pwedeng halughugin ang room na ito."

"Chill, Giovanni," Stephen said and smirked. "Madami na tayong pinagdaanan para lang malaman iyong identity ng babaeng iyon. Nakarating pa nga tayo ng Germany eh. Ngayon ka pa ba aayaw?"

"Pero—"

"This may be the only chance we have," I said. "Wala naman tayong nanakawin na kahit ano. We'll just find the file, read her name, and go. And besides, no one will know since we're the only ones in here."

Napabuntong hininga na lang si Giovanni at tumango.

"SSG President, my foot."

I glared at Black when I heard what he said but he just smirked at me and walked straight to the Principal's office. Sumunod naman kaagad si Ehra habang nagawa pa akong tawanan ni Stephen.

Well, I know this brings disgrace to my name but I think I just need to endure that. Minsan lang naman.

Pumasok na din ako sa Principal's office. If they'll hide some secret files, I'm sure they'll let Principal handle it.

"You can check his computer," sabi ni Black.

Tumango lang ako habang tinitignan na nila iyong mga files sa shelves. Sinimulan na ding buksan ni Giovanni iyong mga drawers habang tumingin ako sa monitor na nasa office table ni Sir Paul.

I sat on his swivel chair and opened the monitor. Nang bukas na ito, akmang magtitipa na ako sa keyboard pero natigilan ako.

Kapag hinawakan ko ito, tuluyan na akong lalabag sa school rules. I never did cutting classes, sleeping during class hours, disobeyed orders and I always kept the students as proper as possible.
