Dark 59: If You Only

Ethan's POV

"I knew it. I knew it was a bad idea," Giovanni whispered. "Masama na ang pakiramdam ko nang maghiwa-hiwalay kami sa hall. Alam kong hindi iyon magandang ideya pero h-hindi ko sila pinigilan."

He grabbed his own hair out of frustration while I looked away. I've never seen Giovanni so devastated. Ito ang pinakauna.

Before the cruise ship totally explode, Alex was able to jump into the water with Ainsworth and some Yamashito Guards. Pero naiwan si Kaye sa barko at simula no'n, wala na kaming balita sa kanya.

It's been two days and Kaye is still missing. Ginagawa ng Gehenna ang lahat para mahanap siya. But I doubt if they can find her.

Her body isn't found yet so there's a high chance she's alive somewhere. I'm not even sure if she's really hurt from the explosion or if she was really in the cruise ship when it exploded. Besides, a lot of suspicious things happened that night.

"He's asleep."

Napatingin ako kay Giovanni nang marinig ang sinabi ni Black. Dark circles are visible around his eyes and his skin is quite pale. No doubt. He's the one who worries about Kaye too much in the four of us, and I think he's even worried about her than the Queens.

Dahil nasa sala kami ng bahay, we decided to carry Giovanni to his room. Stephen was complaining but still carried him on his back.

"Tangina! Ako talaga pinagbuhat niyo? Ang laki-laki niyang tao!"

"Shut up."

"Fuck! Kapre talaga!"

Stephen carelessly lied him down so I glared at him. He gave me a 'what' look so I just sighed. Kinumutan naman ni Black si Giovanni bago kami tuluyang lumabas ng kwarto niya.

"Matutulog na din ako. Nakakabawas kapogian pa naman ang pagpupuyat."

"Whatever."

Stephen just rolled his eyes at us before going to his room. The moment he closed the door, Black and I looked at each other. Looks like this will be a long night for the both of us.

We went down and the moment we were back at the living room, the main door opened. Cairo and Kenzo came in. Hindi sila nagsabi na pupunta sila ngayon pero inaasahan na din namin ito.

"Where are the other two?" Kenzo asked.

"Sleeping," I answered. "We have been sleep deprived for days so let's let them rest, even just for tonight."

They both nodded and sat on the sofa. We already expected that these two will come and see us to know what really happened. Gusto din naming malaman kung bakit hindi sila dumating noong gabing iyon. It's just that we were so busy searching for Kaye that we weren't able to talk things immediately.

"So? Care to explain how my sister ended up missing?"

Nagkatinginan kami ni Black. Cairo is obviously affected but still trying to act firm.

"You already know what happened, right?" I asked. "They were at the end of the ship when it started moving away from the port. And since they still have enemies alive, nagpaiwan si Kaye para makatakas sila Alex."

"That's not what I wanted to know. Ang gusto ko malaman ay kung bakit hindi niyo alam na may mga bomba sa barko."

"You were there an hour ahead of the Generals' arrival and you used that time to explore the whole ship, right?"

We nodded with Kenzo's question.

"Then why didn't you know there were bombs?"

"There are no bombs when we searched the ship," Black said. "I can guarantee you that."
