Dark 63: Operation Starts

Ethan's POV

"What should we do now?"

I looked at Giovanni but also wasn't able to answer his question. In the end, I just adverted my gaze.

Halos isang oras na ang lumipas. Ever since Alex and Kaye left us at the living room, we haven't heard anything from the Queens.

Hindi na sila bumaba o lumabas sa mga kwarto nila kaya pumunta kami sa bahay na tinuluyan nila Stephen. Then Shin just updated us few minutes ago that the Queens started discussing their next plans.

We didn't bother asking nor joining them. I doubt it if they will still listen to us.

Tumingin ako sa labas. The sun is starting to set and my anxiety is just getting worse.

I'm worried.

I don't regret everything I said to the Queens, to Yumi. The only thing I regret is that I should have been more considerate of their feelings.

They aren't the only ones who suffered. Hindi lang sila ang nawalan at gusto kong maintindihan nila iyon.

But I forgot the fact that the Kings, that we, are part of the people who made them suffer. Kaya wala kaming karapatan na magreklamo o tawagin silang makasarili.

Because in the first place, it was our fault.

We had our own choice to decline Miss Igraine, to disobey the organization, but we didn't. Habang sila, they didn't have a choice.

They just got dragged into this mess. And that's why I'm worried.

Hindi ko alam kung anong nangyayari ngayon kay nila Kiana at Black dahil hindi nila sinasagot ang mga tawag namin. And we heard that Mafia and Gangster Organizations are taking odd actions.

If the Queens will make their move with just the three of them, I don't think it will be that easy. They are going against three big organizations after all.

Kakailanganin nila ang tulong namin. We have connections and information they don't have.

Napakagat labi ako at tumayo. I will try one more time.

"Hoy, saan ka pupunta?"

Tumingin ako kay Stephen. "I will talk to Yumi."

"Paano kung hindi siya makinig sayo?"

Medyo natigilan ako sa sinabi ni Giovanni. Yumi never listened to me but I won't give up. Not again.

"Ethan-"

"We can't let them go to war with just the three of them. It's our duty to protect them after all."

Lumabas na ako at nagsimulang maglakad papunta sa bahay na tinutuluyan ng Queens. I entered the house and saw Shin descending the stairs.

"Oh, sakto at-"

"Where are they?"

He didn't answer me but he glanced upstairs. Aakyat na sana ako sa hagdan pero natigilan ako nang makita si Yumi.

I stepped back when my eyes met her icy glare.

"It looks like he still wants to talk to you," Shin said to her. "Iiwan ko muna kayo."

"Shin, drag him out."

"Wait-"

I stopped when Shin smiled at Yumi.

"Tears will drop and screams will be heard. After that, hearts shall calm down with ears wide open," he said and smiled wider. "Kiana told me that this morning. And I think I already know why."
