Chapter Fifty-three - Limitations

Days have passed since that meeting, and still Shuu had no luck on the information regarding Seidou's origins. And soon, he realized...maybe it was for the best that he didn't, for now at least. But as it went on, the more everyone began to realize, Seidou really was different compared to them. Not just because of his eyes, but in his lack of ability.

Murmurs passed around, bothering the male with it's source material. It was at that point, that it was no secret that...Seidou genuinely can't summon his kagune. No matter how much he's trained, it never worked out. It felt as if something was stopping him and holding him back.

It was beyond dangerous for him not to have that ability, he could actually get hurt! Kanae and Matsumae both accept Seidou through all of that, but they had to agree that it really wasn't safe for him. Especially with his status. So, something had to be done. And there, they were getting to their solution.

Seidou stared blankly out the limousine window, as Kanae and Shuu both work out the situation. "Master Shuu, is this...really the best we can do? I don't think Seidou is quite used to meeting newer ghouls..." Shuu scoffed. "Kanae, he'll be just fine. If he could manage madam A, he can handle miss Kirishima~!"

Suddenly, Kanae shivered. "Isn't that the one you told me was the daughter of-!" "Hey, come now. She's matured...a little. She's doing much better, really." Seidou looked away from the window, sighing as he looked down at his lap.

He then turned his head to the pair's direction. "Am...I defective?" He asked simply, only for Shuu to gasp softly. "Takizawa, of course you're not! You're just...a late bloomer. Even though, you've claimed to have summoned your-!" "I did, I really did! It's just, I don't know. And who is this 'miss Kirishima' you keep going on about?" 

Shuu winked at the male, smiling softly. "Oh, just an...'old friend'..." Before turning his head back, with poor Seidou still confused. Shuu had a funny way of describing 'old friend'. "I don't-!" "Oh, by the way Takizawa, try not to genuinely piss her off. But knowing you, that's near to impossible."

Seidou rolled his eyes, ignoring his own questions. 'Don't worry Seidou, maybe she'll help you...?'

And after a laboring drive, they finally reach their destination. Seidou looks outside the window, rolling the bloody thing down. "A café?" Shuu nods. "Yep, we're here." "I didn't think so myself, the first time I've taken him to a café." Kanae commented, while Shuu giggles softly. "I'm a ghoul, cafés are a must! However, that is not why we're here." Seidou raises one eyebrow, looking over the name. "Is it pronounced 'Reee', or 'Reh'?" Shuu shrugs. "I don't even know, no one does but miss Kirishima."

The trio exit the car, with Seidou hiding and following closely behind. He felt a bit tense, it could've been some nerves. The trio enter the tiny yet lovely establishment. Seidou lifted his head slightly, looking around in awe, at how nostalgic the café really looked. It reminded him so much of past cafés he and Houji had been to together, as well as the ones with other family and friends and of course, just himself.

A young woman comes around the corner, to greet the guests, only to realize it was the leech. "Shuu Tsukiyama..." The male nodded slightly. "Miss Kirimshima." "Ms, say it right next time." Shuu chuckled as he rested a hand on his hip. 

"Well, I was just trying to be polite here." The female scoffed rather rudely. "I haven't seen you around, like at all! I honestly thought you were dead." Shuu clears his throat. "You thought wrong. I was...merely feeling unwell, very ill even."

Seidou whispered silently to the younger male in front of him. "She...doesn't seem to like him very much..." The male pointed out, with the other nodding slightly. "They had issues in the past, they're not completely over them yet, it's hard to explain..."
