Chapter Seventy-four - Pack and repack

"Hey, Seidou! Just thought I'd check up on you!" Kanae announced as he enter the male's bedroom. "What's up Kanae, have you finished your packing?" Kanae chuckles softly. "Heh heh, kind of... Anyway, I was thinking, since, you really haven't been given the chance to go out and pick anything for yourself, I was thinking we could shop together!"

Seidou's body flinched, seeping with pure excitement. "R-Really?! But...you've done so much already, I couldn't." "You could~!" Kanae smirked. Seidou rolled his eyes, smiling sheepishly. "Well if you're offering... But I could pay you back someday!" Kanae groaned. "But you don't have to! Come on, just think of this as...a paid vacation."

Seidou chuckled weakly in defeat. "Fine fine, but I'm just about done. I just need to doublecheck real quick, go on ahead." Kanae scoffed, flinging his hair as he left.

Kanae awaited for the other male down the stairs, along with the minority of the home. Matsumae, Aliza, Shuu and Mirumo. Seidou slowly and carefully walked down the fine stairs, with a suitcase in one hand as the other held onto the railing. Donut carefully followed her master's side, not fully aware on him leaving.

Seidou made it down, taking a folded up paper, passing it to Matsumae. "Thank you for doing this, Matsumae..." The female nodded. "Of course, it's not a-!" She opens it up, pausing her sentence as she saw the complexity of the list of chores as well as the dos and don'ts for the male's emotional support.

Seidou cleared his throats. "So um... Yeah, I just wrote down the things I normally would do with Donut and her needs." Matsumae too cleared her throat, realizing how much effort the male really puts in for the canine. "Wow... Seidou, this is a lot of work and detail."

Seidou tilted his head slightly in confusion. "Really, is it...?" This coming from an experienced dog owner. "Is it too much?" Matsumae sighed weakly, putting the paper to her side. "No, I can work it through. And you're okay with her in your bed?" Seidou shrugged. "Uh yeah, why wouldn't I? It's not a problem for me."

There were a lot of little things within that list: Walking Donut three to four times a day, feeding her in the morning and night everyday, brushing her fur twice or thrice a week and keeping her away from the basement... Seidou had found out himself that was apparently a trigger for her.

It was a lot of work, but it truly showed how much Donut really meant to Seidou. And in the whole truth, Seidou really was going to miss this sweet doggy pal of his.

Seidou sighed softly, kneeling down to Donut's level, getting her excited enough to pant as he pet the good girl. "I'm sorry Donut, but I promise that I won't be gone forever... I'll miss you." Seidou then looked up at everyone else. "I'll miss all of you..."

With a deep sigh, the male stood up and turned to Kanae, suitcase in hand. "Alright, I think I'm ready." Kanae nodded, walking off ahead of the male with his suitcase by his side. Seidou followed closely behind as Donut tried to follow him. Seidou turned to the female dog and stared down at her softly. "Donut, no... It's okay, you're okay. I will be back..."

Seidou quickened his pace, and Matsumae held the dog back, allowing Seidou to shut the door. However he did hear whimpering and soft barking from behind it. He took a step back, sighing deeply. 'She'll be fine... She'll be fine. It won't be forever, Seidou.' "Seidou, come on drifter! We don't got all day, if we are to still shop!"

Seidou turned back around, walking towards the male. "R-Right! My bad, I was just-!" "Well come on!" Seidou sighed in slight defeat, rolling his eyes.

Walking away from the mansion, Seidou turned his head slightly as he kept on moving. Glancing over at the home before turning back to Kanae.

Placing their bags within the rental trunk, going into it after. Kanae wore his shades, starting the car up as he carefully drove out from the driveway. And soon enough, they're on the road, just riding in somewhat awkward silence. Until they've eventually reached a standard boutique, still within the area of the 20th ward.
