Into The Rose Garden (Seidou x Kanae/Karren)

Chapter Fifty-eight - Departure

Seidou picked up, and folded his clothing, looking over his room. 'It won't be forever, you can do this...' A small smile escapes him, and he eventually moved on to packing up a few books and a yoga matt. It was better to start catching up now.

The door was already open, but Kanae gently knocked on it. "H-Hey, Takizawa..." Seidou scoffed, looking over at the younger male. "Hey, what's with calling me 'Takizawa'? Did I do something?" "No, I was just trying to be a little more formal."

Seidou tilted his head, no longer smiling. "Formal how, and why? It's just me, always has been."

Kanae sighed, walking inside. "Listen, I know that...you don't really...talk about yourself that much." "What? That's not true, I've talked about my family, me being a human and-!" Kanae shook his head lightly. "N-No, not like that... Remember when you acted up, and freaked out when I nearly hit you? Or that time you told me 'I was mistreated a lot, and I never want to go through that again'? You never followed up on that, you've been quiet about how you've been mistreated."

Seidou froze up, tensing up as he squeezed his own sleeve. "Takizawa, what happened to you that was so bad, that it causes you to avoid so much in life?" Seidou gulped, as no words could be let out.

"Matsumae told me to leave it, but-!" "Then listen to her, she actually knows boundaries!" This comment sets off Kanae, as his face slowly turned red out of rage. To which Seidou knew...he fucked up. 'Well, I'm screwed...'

"I was just trying to hear you out, god! You're never comfortable sharing anything that can help us understand you!" Seidou scoffed rudely, puffing up his chest. "You wanna know why?! THIS!!!! You feel like we're close enough to share such things, why can't you just be cool about this?!" Seidou paused for a brief second. "You have NO idea what I've been through, so who are you to judge whether I'm ready or not to talk about it?!"

Kanae was about to shout back, however saw his point. But, Kanae had more to say about this. "Takizawa, I-I'm-!" He sighs softly, softening his expression. "I'm sorry, ok...? I didn't want to know now if you weren't ready, but I think you should at least figure...if you have something important to tell me, ever, just tell me and I'll listen."

Seidou, raised an eyebrow. Kanae was actually gentle, and heard him out. And he did it without making things worse. "Wow, are you even Rosewald?" Kanae rolled his eyes, coming back with a soon-to-be snarky comment. "In the flesh..." He stated sarcastically. 

Seidou smirked, glad to have the mood back to normal. "Oh thine Rosewald, grace thy with thine presence~..." Kanae chuckles as he rolled his eyes. "Yeah yeah, let's get you ready." "Wait Rosewald, do you perhaps...?" Kanae raised an eyebrow, as Seidou cleared his throat. "Um...never mind, I forgot. Heh..." 'Would you perhaps care to join me?' Is what Seidou had held back. But of course, he had to be tough with this time around.

Kanae left Seidou to finish up, meeting up with the other members of the household. Even Shuu was there that day. 

Shuu sighed, rubbing his forehead. "Father, you're not making any sense. If these people really are as bad as we assume they are, can't Seidou just...stay here while we take care of them ourselves?" "Shuu, it's not that simple. There are consequences to one's actions, and just blindingly going with your very instinct can have consequences!" Shuu froze up, turning his head to Kanae.

"Kanae, back me up here-!" Only to see a slightly annoyed yet very worried look. Shuu never saw that look on Kanae's face, well besides the day they've met. And that was different.

"Hey Kanae, is something upsetting you?" Kanae sighed, as he took his seat. "Well, it's Seidou..." Shuu tilts his head, mildly confused. "What about Seidou? You worried that Kirishima-?" "No, it's not the ghouls at the café I'm worried about. Seidou will be...alone, and seeing the look in his eyes. He's in some sort inner conflict, and I don't know if he should be able to do this alone."
