After resting for a bit within that hospital, I exit the premises. I knew what I had to do, but it had to be done quickly. Seidou was in trouble, I knew he was! Someone like him is always at risk, and it wasn't fair to him. He had suffered enough, I had to find him and protect him this time!
First things first was getting myself some help, luckily I knew a few people. However, I don't think I could rely on Kaneki's allies on this one. They never even met Seidou, let alone Kaneki. So...I had to find some assistance of my own.
Upon making a spot to meet up, I had to get everything I needed; a picture of Seidou, some background info that could give clues and of course, how to contact me. However, I couldn't trust just anyone to meet up with me. No, I had to keep it safe and play it low. First, a throwaway phone, some body guards and an alias. I already had one, so I was perfectly fine on that one.
I explained everything to my allies, and we created fliers to hang around the ward. The one I lost him to begin with. We moved along through a few other wards, and let me tell you, the travel was not easy.
We've had a few witnesses, coming in and telling their 'encounter' with Seidou.
One lady, contacted me, and we met up. We sat across from each other, and she spoke as I wrote everything down.
She looks at the flier, focusing on Seidou's face. "Yeah, this kid does look familiar, except his hair..." I sigh, writing down my words. "Yeah, I know. That's an older photo, without the white stripe." She scoffs.
"Yeah, I saw him at the latest auction, he was a prized item. Sadly, I didn't get to see who bought him, and I seriously doubt the ones who hosted the auction will give out ANY form of personal information. Sorry kid, it looks like your friend is still out there somewhere...hopefully."
I sigh weakly, holding up my sign. "It's alright, thank you..."
Another person came, a little more helpful than the last. She sighed deeply, wearing a smug expression on her face.
"That one was just splendid. You know, I was the one that set up his starting bid price. It was a shame I couldn't be the one to buy him, I've always wanted a new toy~! Though I can't give you information on the buyer, all I can say is...they could've been a foreigner, judging from their accent."
I thanked her, and she left. Those two gave me pretty decent clues. He was bought at an auction, so the one who bought him could very likely be well off; considering how only the richest ghouls can attend those things, from what I've heard at least. And the one who bought him had a foreign accent. Strange, strange indeed.
However, the next one really topped the cake. Another woman, but she was attended with a man. She told me her name, as if...it was something personal. Satou Wanatai.
She cleared her throat and scoffed. "So...you know do ya?" I nod, and she continues. "He was...different from the other auction collectables, really different. However, he seemed really troubled, more than you would think. Like...he had enough shit to deal with before getting there, and he just had some unfortunate luck. We all told each one about each other, and why we were there. Or...how we got there. I don't know that much about him, but I hope he and the others are okay."
I show her my paper. "Did you see who bought him?" She shook her head. "No...I mean not really, however...I think I have a clue for you to use. I heard small murmurs saying how rare it was to have 'a rose' make an appearance, just to buy something potentially valuable. So I'm guessing that's their auction name, or at least related to it."
'Rose...?' I thought. Even with my extended research on ghouls, I've never heard of such a name. I guess they just hadn't gained the attention of CCG yet... Interesting.
