Chapter Six - Escape

Seidou sat there, peacefully waiting for what was to come. After all of the hell he was put through, finally was he going to have a taste of freedom, once again. "Anytime soon, my opening will appear..." The male said to himself.

"It's only a matter of time."

Over to Tatara, Kanou, Kimi and Eto speaking. "Listen, I know that we must create a world where humans and ghouls can live together in harmony, trust me that's what I want too..." Kimi sighed before continuing. "But we shouldn't be treating someone like this! Like I said, there has to be another way!"

Kanou scoffed. "You think I actually enjoy inflicting pain on Takizawa?!" Tatara chuckled underneath his breath. Kanou turns back to the male. "Have something to contribute, Tatara...?" 

The male shook his head. "Nothing, nothing at all." Eto laughs. "Well, think of it this way Nishino... If we torment Takizawa like this, he can learn what we can do to him if he doesn't listen. He won't try killing us, disobeying us or even run away from us." Kimi scoffs. "He's more likely to run away, through any means possible. I know if I was in his position, I would...find a way out, even in death."

Kanou raises an eyebrow. "So what you're saying is...he could be a danger to himself?" The female shrugged. "I guess...? I'm just really worried about what he'll do to himself, but compared to what you do to him...it's nothing."

Kanou sighs. "I mean we could try manually training him, but that would take too long, and-!" "Don't you dare even consider it." Tatara piped in.

Everyone turned to him. Eto tilted her head. "What was that, can you explain yourself Tatara?" The male scoffed roughly, before leaning forward. 

"Do you have any idea who his partner was? Do you?! Eto, remember the first time I opened up about my brother?" Eto nodded. "How could I forget? He was the most amazing person in your life, before he..." "That's right, died in the hands of Kousuke Houji. Who was also known to be Seidou Takizawa's partner!" 

Kimi shook her head. "Wait, are you seriously salty enough over that man that you're willing to take it out on a male that had zero connection to the actual event?!" "Shut your mouth, human! You don't understand! Houji took everything from me, and turned my brother and close friend into...weapons for their own gain."

Tatara smirks from behind his mask. "Now I would love to see his expression when I take everything away from him, and turn someone he cherishes into a weapon..." Eto laughs. "Oooh, sounds complicated, but I love it! The passion, the drama, the suspense! I can't wait to see it all!"

Kanou chuckles. "My, to be frank with you Tatara, that's seems a little extra... Not that I have a problem with it." Tatara nods with approval.

"Yeah, though my question is-!" Suddenly, the intruder alarm is set off. Tatara grumbles. "Ugh, what now?!" Kanou turns his head around in different directions. "This doesn't sound good; Nishino, I need you to warn everyone who is human to hide, and tell as many ghouls as possible to not only find who's behind this but to also protect the cells!" "A-Alright, I'm on it!"

Kimi runs out and Eto smirks at the elder male. "My, look how organized you are. Where are you when we're strategizing our attacks?" The female joked. Kanou scoffed and shrugged. "I'm just being cautious with my lab; if anything were to go wrong or go missing, it could take a while to fix it up again."

Eto sighed. "My, I guess two great minds do think alike. I like you." Tatara rolled his eyes and kept to his business. However, something unexpected happens.

"Dr. Kanou, Dr. Kanou!" The door slammed, and the male turned his entire body to the random female. "Yes, what is it?" "I know I'm supposed to be hiding, but I thought someone should let you know!" "Know what?" 

The female gulped down. "I-I checked Owl-15's cell, instead of some ghoul, to... Anyway, I check it, believing it was all normal. However Owl-15...is missing." Everyone then turned to the female, with shocked expressions worn upon their faces.

"What do you mean by missing?" All three of them ask in unison. "He's just...not there! His cell is empty, I checked everywhere in there, which really wasn't much, to see if he was just hiding. But no, he's just gone!" Tatara walked over to the female.

"Have you heard anything else from anyone about this?!" She nodded. "I mean a little, I overheard some ghouls panicking and talking about giving him chase, going outside and something about jumping...?" 

Tatara growls. "Unbelievable!" Kanou faced the male. "Tatara, we need to do something! We have to find him, we need to find him!" "I know, out of everyone else, I should know how imperative this truly is!"

Tatara scoffs and growls to himself. "I'll find him...I'll find him, even if it means burning down half of Japan!"

And thus, their search begins.
